Hazel-Rae
I had to thank Alex and Jae-Minn for that few hours of good sleep. Never in my life did I have even an hour of dreamless sleep.
Every night, I was afraid to close my eyes, to slip into the world of the unconscious. I had to sleep, I knew I had no choice.
I always had nightmares, for some reason. It was like giving me clues of the past. I began to suspect that Amnesia did not take all of my memories.
My unconscious was trying to tell me something.
That same night I was back at the same place. A school with brick-red walls. It starts from the same room. A room with dolls of different sizes.
I would lift them into the air, they would spin around me, twirling. I feel exhilaration.
Then there would be a click, the sound of unlocking a door. A lady would enter, asking, "What are you doing?"
I would then read her mind, which went like
It's another one of them
Call in reinforcements
Bring them to the lab
This is going to be fun
I would run, run as fast as I could.
Then I'm falling.
I scream.
The dolls are around, falling too. Their faces morph into sadistic grins, each unleashing a knife. They are whispering this one word.
Freak.
It never stops until I wake up.
Every night since I arrived here, this had been happening. It kept repeating in my mind.
Until today, when I could finally rest.
I got out of bed and looked in the mirror.
My eyebags looked better. It brought out my kaleidoscope eyes. The dominant violet shone even more. I tucked my brunette hair behind my ear, pulling on my suit. I was self-trained and today, I was going to try lifting my bed.
My suit enhanced my powers and it was made by MElemental, Shakilah herself. Titanium cloth, she called it. It had a few tweaks from myself.
It was black and wrapped tightly around my body. It was everything you could hope for. Bulletproof, waterproof, fireproof, debris proof, and jellyfish proof. I was scared of jellyfishes, do not judge.
The suit was weightless. The cuffs at the wrist could shoot lasers. When I ran, the suit gathered energy that helped me to move just a little slower than Vikesh.
It grew as I grew taller too.
It was the perfect suit.
I went out of the toilet and settled myself on a cold metal chair. The suit was buzzing quietly with energy, then it became quiet. I put my full concentration to the bed, clenching my fists.
Focus
The bed shook slightly, then became still again.
Well, it was progress.
I tried again. I liked to pride myself as I person who never gave up.
The bed lifted two centimetres. I gathered my concentration and moved the bed. I was feverish with elation. It was happening! It was one closer step to my end goal of lifting an entire building. An empty one of course.
I lifted the bed higher and higher.
I felt powerful. Invincible. It was all done without moving an inch.
When I was thinking of all this, I drifted away and my concentration snapped. Her bed came crashing down, smashing into Jae-Minn's desk. The small wooden table shattered under the weight of the heavy metal bed, debris flying everywhere.
I covered my face in my hands, reeling  from shock and terror.
Jae-Minn was going to kill me.
