Let me tell you about the council that kept us safe from harm. They were basically like our guardians. They called themselves the DOTSOTS which meant Department Of The Safety Of The Supernatural.
You've probably heard of this amazing woman who resided in a dark alcove, alone. Or was she really alone? She was the silent worker, the reason how we stayed hidden for that long. Her name was Winifred Low, or the Mask. Nobody saw her before, except for those in the DOTSOTS.
Matthew Kolfer was Winifred's boyfriend. I did not actually know if it was true, but there was this rumour going around that Matthew was dating the twenty-two year old Winifred and were engaged to get married when things got sorted out. If the rumour was true, however, they would be a powerful couple. A indestructible, invisible duo? Just thinking about it made people gape.
One of the members we saw almost everyday was Thalia Chia, the Conjurer. Her jet-black hair were in locks that cascaded down her shoulders. Her complexion was fair and flawless. She was a beauty and some of the boys actually had crushes on her. Ahem, Vikesh, ahem. She could conjure anything up if you give her the right materials. That was why we went to her for new furniture. She had a stock of materials that she collected with some of her friends from the world outside. They were the ones with the super expensive contacts that reflected only their eye's dominant colors.
And there was Hadi. Do not get me started on Hadi. He was this person with a face you want to punch everytime you look at him. He was the male version of Nora Hee, strutting around too. Occasionally, he would stop the stretch his arms which was fat and sore. His power was to create optical illusions which gave him the name Perception. Oddly, he was best friends with Jovan Heng.
Ah, Jovan. He was the man. He was very tanned and had the most amazingly bulging muscles, almost to match those of Matthew's. His body was perfectly contoured and his brown hair was so naturally awesome. He was my boy crush, but it was a secret. He could manipulate fire and was one of the most powerful of all of them who could too. He could also make people see fire. Pretty amazing, huh?
Last but not least, there was my sister. Yes, my sister. Amber-Jinn. She was the Traveller and she had this power to travel through voids. We were brought into the hideout together. She was an awesomesauce sister, honestly.
