Jae-Minn
After training, I swung my sword over my shoulder, hoping to sit at my desk to draw something.
Just that the desk wasn't there anymore.
Technically, you could say that the pieces was still there, floating around there.
Hazel's eyes were closed. Amir was beside her, instructing her on how to put the pieces together.
Amir?
What was he doing inside the girls' room?
Oh right, he was fixing the table.
My table.
"Hazel?" I called out.
The pieces fell onto the ground with a clatter. Hazel turned to face me, fear evident in her eyes.
"Jae-Minn! Oh, I so sorry...I didn't...I was just," she stuttered.
I did not know whether I was angry or amused. She broke my table? I could just ask someone for one.
"Well, apparently she managed to lift the bed!" Amir said.
"Yay...." I replied half enthusiastically.
"I can help you get a new table! I'm so sorry, I mean...I was just trying to," I gestured for her to stop.
"It's okay," I was amused, I decided. It was crucial for us to develop new skills and Hazel had just improved on hers. It took lots of practice, still, but I was sure Hazel could soon lift a bed. Properly without breaking other people's property.
"I'll get the new table for you. I'll ask Thalia." Hazel was so sincere, I could not help laughing.
"Okay then," I said, "Make sure you get a good one."
"Sure, I'll bring more things for Thalia. What colour?" she asked.
I thought for a while. Our room was a pristine one with white walls. Anything could look cool.
"Maybe black? I dunno. Never had one before." I told her.
Hazel pulled out a notebook. "I'll actually make it three desks, one for each of us, don't you think?"
I replied, "And if you ever try that bed trick again, make sure that it is your desk that you're breaking."
Hazel chuckled and ran off.
