You Find Out That You Were a Bet (Samezuka)

Rin: "Hey, (y/n), can I talk to you for a second?" Rin asked you one day, all of a sudden while you were on a date. "Yeah, sure, Rin, what is it?" You replied, looking at him. "Before I tell you this, I just want you to know that I love you very much, alright?" Rin said. You nodded slowly; you had no idea where this was going. "Alright, Rin. Now, what is it?" You demanded. Rin sighed and looked at you guiltily, "the reason I asked you out was because, it was a bet." You looked at him with shock, "I was a what?" You sputtered. "I'm sorry! Seiji wanted to do something before I started college and he took us out for drinks and I had a little too much, alright?" Rin replied, "so then I was dared to call you and ask you out, so because I was drunk, I did it!" You stood there stunned. It wasn't that Rin wanted to go out with you; it was because you fell for a trick and he pitied you. "Why did you let our relationship go on for so long before you told me?" You asked, feeling tears run down your cheeks. "I'm sorry," Rin said. "Really, I just didn't want you to leave me right after I told you, I love you," he continued. "No, I'm sorry. I just need some time, alone," you said, before running off.

Sousuke: It was three in the morning and you were barely dozing off. Sousuke just got out of hours of surgery and you were silently admiring your boyfriend's gentle features as he slept. As you were dozing off, you heard a laugh. "Haha, (y/n)? You're stilllllll here? I'd thought you'd left by now!" You looked up to see Sousuke wide awake. He had a goofy smile plastered on his face; it was obvious that he was still high on anesthesia. "Hey Sousuke, I didn't know that you woke up," you said, yawning a bit and smiling. "Yeah, you also didn't know that you're a bet!" Sousuke laughed. "I'm a bet?" You said, confused. "Ooohhhh yeahhhh..." he slurred, "the boys were willing to pay me biiiiiggggg bucks to date you..." he continued, leaving you shocked. "How much are we talking here?" You asked. "Ummm... like 200 dollars..." Sousuke said, and then he fell asleep again. You were fuming at this point. It's been 6 months since you've started dating and you've never heard of any bet. It was 3 am, but you were going to get answers, no matter how long it took. The boys were on summer vacation, so it shouldn't be a problem to interrupt Rin's sleep.

Nitori: You and Nitori were taking a walk one day because Nitori had something to tell you. You were waiting patiently and walking in silence waiting for him to talk, but it's been a half an hour and he hasn't said anything yet. "Nitori, what is it?" You asked. He looked up at you startled. "What is what?" He squeaked. You sighed, "you know what I mean," you said. "Oh... right," Nitori's face dropped. "The thing I have to tell you is... is... you were a bet," he stammered. "I was a bet?" You asked, confused. "Yeah, at the time I wasn't looking for a relationship, but the boys noticed that I was talking to you, and they said that they'd give me money if I asked you out," Nitori explained. "How much money?" You asked. "About 50 dollars," Nitori replied. "So you asked me out 3 months ago for 50 dollars?" You said. "Yeah... I'm sorry..." Nitori apologized. "Thanks for telling me, but what now?" CLIFFHANGER

Momo: You were sitting at a park waiting for Momo to arrive. Momo told you that he had something important to tell you tonight and that you couldn't miss it. Now, you were watching the beautiful sun set by yourself. A few minutes went by and Momo sat next to you. "Hey there!" You said, hugging him. He tensed slightly, but didn't hug back. "Momo, are you alright?" You asked, breaking the hug. "No, I'm here to tell you something, so let me get straight to the point," Momo said seriously, something that he rarely did. "The thing is, we're only going out because my brother was willing to give me 20 dollars if I asked you out. He was sure that you would say no to a guy like me, and I was sure that you'd say no too; I thought we only liked each other as friends," he said. "So you're saying that you asked me out for a measly 20 dollars?" (Side note: please don't ever say that. It's never "only" so much money. People in 3rd world countries are probably living on $20 dollars a month if not less. Please don't take what we have for granted.) "I'm sorry," Momo said. "What about the feelings? What do you feel for me?" You asked. "I'm sorry, but those were a lie too," he whispered. You felt tears rolling down your cheeks. "I should leave now," Momo said, standing up. "I'm sorry again (y/n), I really am. I hope we can level with each other one day," he continued. "Until then goodbye." With that he walked off.

Seiji: It was cold and bitter outside and you were sitting on the bus, feeling the wind seep through the cracks and crevices. When you got home, you saw that there were 3 miss calls on Skype from Seiji. The roads were really bad and he must've really wanted to see if he Skyped you 3 times. You sat down at your desk and pressed the call button. It rang a little and then he answered. "Hey!" You said, smiling at Seiji. However, he didn't smile back. Instead he gave you a sigh. "Hey, (y/n), I have to tell you something," he said. "What is it?" You asked. "I have to tell you that you were a bet. We wouldn't have gone out if someone didn't pay me to ask you out," Seiji said. You were shocked, "who told you to do that?" You asked. "Some guy from the team," he replied. "Word was coming up again that this relationship was all based on a bet and I thought that you might as well hear it from me than from one of them," Seiji continued. You were devastated. You couldn't believe your ears; you felt yourself crying, so you hung up before he saw you. Now, you just have to figure out how to make it on the same swim team as him.
