chapter 7: mcdank

ayla and mel were sat down on a two seated couch under the infamous twin peaks poster int the recording studio.

finn was doing warm ups int he recording station, malcom was on his phone across from ayla and jack was tuning his mint green bass guitar.

mel's eyes were fixed on malcom's phone for a second.

"malcom," he looks up, "what are you doing on your phone?" she tilted her head. the comment she made gains the attention of her cousin and jack.

jack looks over malcom's shoulder.

"are you playing clash of clans?" jack laughs.

"can you back off." malcom hits jack int he chest causing him to put his hands up in defense.

mel and ayla laugh. jack looked at mel while she laughed at malcom's nerdy game (no shame, i used to play lol) he thought her laugh was beautiful and the face she made was adorable.

"what?" she alarms him.

"huh? oh nothing." he kind of coughs at the end.

mel just lets out an airy laugh.

*time skip*

the five teens were in the car driving out to get some mcdonald's. mel recommended mcnuggets.

jack was driving, finn was in the passenger seat (to play his good music obviously) and ayla, malcolm and mel were squeezed in the back.

"wanna just get like fifty nuggets and like five drinks?" jack asked as they drove up to the speaker.

"yesss!" mel groans.

after they ordered they pulled up to the window and quickly grabbed their things, the kids were okay with the fame but it got overwhelming at times, especially when they were all together at once.

jack and finn handed three drinks to the back as butterfly by twin peaks blared out the half down windows.

"and in a little while i'll be gone, yeah
and in a little while i'll be gone
it only takes a little while to get along
so come on baby, give a smile and come on
ah yeah!" finn yells as he bangs his hands on the dash.

"baa ba ba ba baa ba ba ba baaaaa
ooo ooo ooo ooo!" they all join in together.
(i actually love this song haha)

mel head bangs causing her short brown hair to move like crazy in the middle seat accidentally hitting malcom and ayla in the face. she couldn't help she was feeling the song.

once the song ended the kids were literally breathless from all the screaming. except for jack #designateddriver.

"i'm so ready for the concert tomorrow night." malcom says.

"i'm pumped!" finn said back to him.

"i'm only excited because i wanna meet josh and lucas!" mel says with excitement.

"that's cute cause they're more excited to meet you, mel." finn laughed looking at the girl in the rear view mirror.

"doubt it."

"last time i checked, you're the hot famous actress."

jack started listening to the conversation a bit thoroughly after finn said that.

"yeah but josh and lucas were hands down my favorite viners and i still love their youtube."

"you should hang out with all of us sometime-"

"okay we're here!" jack shouts parking the car in front of the studio.

they all got out of the car one at a time and mel was carrying the giant bag of mcdonald's.

"hey, you okay?" she asked jack, jogging up to him while she had about three chicken nuggets still in her mouth.

"yeah, how's finn?"

"okay. uh you were just sitting by him that whole car ride, ask him." she shrugged.

he rolled his eyes. "did i do something?" she steps in front of the blonde and starts walking backwards.

"no."

"then what has you so pissed?" she walked normal now by his side. he looked over at the shorter girl who had a worried look on her face. the girl didn't even notice finn was flirting with her. jack just chuckled at the slightest.

he took the heavy bag out of her arms and put it under his right arm as he swings his left arm over her shoulders loosely.

"i'm fine, lets go eat some mcdonald's."
