chapter 16: after party

the two teens raced down the dark streets hand in hand.
they stopped for a breath and jack laughed.
mel looked at him wide eyed. "jack! it's not funny!"
"but did you see him?!" he lifts up his hands. mel laughed.
mel's pov
"jack," i tilt my head smiling, holding back another laugh. he looked adorable, he was happy because of the alcohol but not in a bad way. he grabbed my hand and spun us both around under the street light.
he stopped for a second. he just kinda stared at me. then he leaned in.
loss of words i did too, one thing leads to another and he kissed me. what the hell is up with us and drunk kisses.
we both pulled back. my mouth was slightly open and i just started at jack. he put his head down, "sorry." he mumbled.
"no! no, it's okay." i accidentally yell the first word. "i-i-it was um, great um good." i stutter and jack smiled.
"we should um, uh go." i shrug.
"yeah, we should."
time skip* they both got different uber's to take them home/ to the hotel.
i got back to hotel and all i could think about was jack.
he kissed me.
i kissed him back.
he told me he liked me.
his dimples are so cute.
how is he so good at painting and i'm not?
would ayla get mad if i liked him?
no she wouldn't.
it's her fault i got his number in the first place.
i put on some pajamas -and by pajamas i mean a sweatshirt and shorts- and got into bed.
dozing off, i got an email alert i could hear from my computer in the living room. i grown and awkwardly somersault out of bed. i walk to the desk, overviewing the city and open my computer.

hi mel! hope you're having fun with your friends in canada! the deal for the up and coming movie we sent the audition tape for is back with results!! congratulations melody because we're going to italy to film! your gonna have to be in italy in 2 weeks so make sure your all ready to go. see you soon.
