Undyne

I am losing control of this body. More and more, Frisk is getting stronger.

Frisk is scared of Undyne. I know that she has a strong SOUL and as much determination as a monster can possess. With the amount of EXP and HP Frisk has, there is no way to survive a fight with her. However, she cannot follow us into Hotland. Frisk's best course of action is to run away.

I let Frisk have fun with the puzzles in Waterfall. They find interesting items. They are excited. They put an umbrella on Asriel's statue.

And I remember so much more. My brother- poor, lost Asriel... The statue is in remembrance of Asriel, killed by humans in our moment of conflict.

Monster Kid is a good companion. Although I would've been annoyed with them, Frisk lets them talk and listens with interest. I wonder if Frisk has ever had a friend their age before. Of course, I do not count. I cannot comfort Frisk when their memories come, and their eyes fill with tears. That only happens when we are alone. Frisk tries to show a brave face to the world, but I know that with Monster Kid, Frisk is genuinely interested. Distracted from their past and the reason for their fall.

Again and again, Frisk meets Undyne. They are terrified, but I know that given a chance, they will forfeit their soul. This is unacceptable. After beating Mad Dummy, Frisk hangs about with Nabstablook, seeming to find solace in Blooky, just as I once did.

The Tems delight Frisk. They spend a long time duplicating and selling dog residue so that Temmie can go to college- or rather, colleg. They seem happy with themself, at least. They got the Temmie Armor, after dying 25 times. They seem to understand now that they cannot die, that I will not let them. If they die, I send them my memories of my father- of Asgore's kind words, and I reload our SAVE file.

Monster Kid falls off the cliff. Frisk rushes to save them, even as Undyne catches up. Then Monster Kid gets in Undyne's way and buys us more time. Perhaps this friendship is useful in more ways than one.

When Undyne finally catches up with them, Frisk tries to apologize. Tries to give up their soul, but I take control. That is not the way to go, Frisk. I block all of Undyne's spears and flee as soon as she turns our heart red.

Once we are in Hotland, I surrender control back to Frisk. Frisk looks at Undyne, overheating at their feet, then at the room, and spots a water cooler. They offer the water to Undyne, and, seeing that Undyne cannot take the water, pours it over her.

Undyne stares at them, then goes on her way.

Papyrus calls Frisk, then, telling them to come to Undyne's house. That Papyrus.

Frisk goes. Frisk... seems to really enjoy Undyne's company. After she stops threatening them, she does wonders for their confidence.

They enter Hotland a bit more prepared, although unsure of their destination. "But I don't want to go home," is a thought circling in their mind.

The monsters we encounter die in one hit.

You seem to find the enemies we encounter to be too easy to beat. Is this a game to you?

You put an umbrella on Asriel's statue. I'm not sure why you decided to. It feels right, though, and I'm glad you did.

Glad Dummy dies as a corporeal monster.

Legend has it that the Angel will come and the Underground will go empty. We are the Angel- the Angel of Death.

Temmie Village is deserted, but for the shop Tem. I don't understand why you wasted time on this useless endeavor. All this Tem sells are Temmie Flakes.

It's strangely silent.

Monster Kid is terrified of us. Time for him to die. Undyne takes the hit. She dies. Then she re-fuses.

I didn't know monsters could re-fuse.

She fights valiantly, trying to 'save' her 'friends.' When we destroy her, she laughs and tells us that she didn't die in vain. She bought everyone else time. She says Asgore will destroy us.

She is right that she didn't die in vain. Her death is her freedom. What is a life spent in prison worth?

Frisk rests, finally. This is what they deserve. Rest, Frisk, as we wreak havoc on the world that was so unkind to you.
