After what seemed like hours of Riley and Jacob screeching, their version of singing, the entire way to our destination.

Ramon rarely lets me out because he fears that my bruises will be seen so he had me on lockdown all the time other than when I go to school.

But from time to time he would be so drunk that he would fall asleep and not wake up for hours.

Today was one of those days.

Getting out of the car, Riley, Jacob, and I started walking to our favorite spot, Leslie's.

Leslie's is a small diner on the edge of the territory, so it was run by humans. Who were some of the only people I considered family, I've known them for years.

When we walked through the door we were greeted with warm smiles and hugs from the owners, Linda and Leslie.

They were twins. You could clearly see the relation between the two. They both had fiery red hair, the only difference was that Linda's cascades down her back in wild curls, reminding me of Meredith, while Leslie had his hair shaved on the sides but his hair sat on the top of his head in silky curls.

They both had the biggest doe eyes that were the color of the forest not too far from their diner. They both had the same pale skin and dimple on their right cheek whenever they would smile. Leslie towered over us all except Jacob, he was about 6'2", while Linda towered over me at 5'4".

"Catalina!" Linda said pulling away from our hug, "How have you been sweetie?"

"I've been..." I said softly, looking down at the floor.

Both of them knew about the situation I live in except for the part about the fact that we are werewolves.

"Catalina, you always know you're always welcome. Just come by here we're here all the time," Leslie said.

Only if it was that easy.

"Thank you for your kind offer," I said smiling lightly.

They both returned the smile.

Riley spoke up breaking the awkward silence in the room,

"Can we eat? I'm hungry," Riley said rubbing her hand over her stomach pouting.

"Ya know if you keep eating like you do no one is going to want you anymore, you'll be a cow," Jacob said laughing.

Right after his laughter started it was cut off by a fist meeting his throat cutting off his oxygen supply making him gasp for air.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't hear you, can you repeat that again," Riley said cupping her ear moving closer to Jacob gasp for air, "Right, that's what I thought bastard," Riley said walking away flipping her hair.
