Riley and Jacob panic over the state of their best friend as she lays there on the pavement of the parking lot. They both rush to pull Catalina up and rush to put her into Riley's car.

"What the hell just happened?" Riley asked pulling out of the parking lot going well over the speed limit, trembling.

"How the hell should I know, just hurry up and get to the hospital," Jacob replied nervously looking back at Catalina.

They both knew that she was alive they could hear her heart beating but it was very faint. They tried to communicate with her through the pack bond but it was like something was forcing them out of her mind.

With Riley's speeding, they arrived at the hospital in less than 10 minutes. Jacob grabbed Catalina and carried her to the Emergency entrance of the hospital.

"Can somebody help us, please?" Jacob asked the crowd of nurses and doctors bustling about the busy corridor of the hospital. They only looked at the limp Catalina in his arms, but no one made a move to assist or calm the nerves of the two friends.

"What the hell is wrong with you people, can you see that she needs your help?" Riley screamed at the crowd in front of her, glaring at the nurses.

Finally, one petite blond nurse walked out of the crowd to assess the condition of their best friend. She pointed to an open bed, directing Jacob to place her there.

After a thorough exam, the nurse came to the conclusion that Catalina was in a coma induced by her wolf.

"She must've had a very traumatic experience for her wolf to completely take over and push her under so much." The nurse said adjusting Catalina's IV.

"So when do you think her wolf will give her back control?" Riley asked pushing a piece of Catalina's curly hair behind her ear.

"Only time will really tell, until then we'll keep her here for observation." The nurse said with a curt nod, walking out of the door. Leaving the two best friends pondering over the cause of her condition, while Catalina was slowly fighting for her life.

Taking a deep breath in, I slowly opened my eyes.

All I saw around me was darkness, I sit up looking around and I feel the Earth under my fingers. Forest.

'Delphi, you there?'

Nothing. I didn't hear a reply from my wolf. I couldn't feel her in my mind like I usually do.

I began to walk around, trying to figure out my location, but there was nothing but trees and darkness for miles.

Just as I was about to give up I heard a noise coming from my left, looking in that direction I began to creep up on the thing that created that noise.

Getting closer and closer to the area of the noise, I smelt the most heavenly scent of rain and cotton. There was a figure in the distance, large and ominous, I called out to it.

"Jacob?" I asked walking closer to the figure but as I got closer the figure begun to get bigger but not in the way as though you were approaching something but in the way as shifting.

The figure finally turned face to me and the most electrifying gray eyes met my dull hazel eyes, trapping me in and reading every detail of my soul.

Within a blink of an eye the figure, stood in front of me making me feel like a child with his six-foot-eight stature. His large hand rose to my face to caressed my cool skin making my knees almost buckle.

Not making a sound we stood there lost in each other, basking in every moment we were sharing and slowly he began to get closer and closer almost capturing my lips with his but he quickly moved his hand from my face to my neck squeezing with an extreme amount of force, taking all the air from my lungs.

I clawed at his hand trying to get him to release me but he didn't, he continued to squeeze before I passed out he came close to my ear and harshly said,

"I'm coming for you."

Then once again darkness embraced me with open arms.
