Hatred.

That's where it all began and where it all ended.

In every classroom, this story was told.

The story of our beginning and every other supernatural creature.

This all begins as far as the Greek era.

The king of Arcadia more commonly known as Lycaon shouted curses at the gods and goddesses above in Olympus, day in and day out. He hated them but no one really got down to the real reason why.

One day Zeus had said that he had enough and went down Gaia; Earth. Upon his arrival, he disguised himself as a peasant and requested to dine with the King. The King knew exactly who the peasant was under the disguise.

He set out on a plan that he thought was the best way to get back at the god. He went and grabbed his son Nyctimus and killed him. He dismembered his child and put his body into a stew to give to Zeus.

He believed his plan worked but Zeus had smelt the meat inside the stew and threw the meal across the room and struck his lightning bolt down on the table causing Lycaon to run for his life.

But while he was running, his body begun to change. He got down on all fours and his bones begun to dislocate and fix themselves in a different position. His face grew out to be a snout and his screams had become growls and whines. Zeus had changed him into a wolf but not a typical wolf but one who was agile, strong, and huge in size.

As Zeus returned home, Lycaon made a silent vow that he will get his revenge.

After a few months of Zeus watching over Lycaon watching his reign of terror among his subjects as both man and wolf and his growing numbers of Lycans like him, Zeus decided that it was time for him to prepare for a war that he knew was going to be a tiring and long war that would stretch among centuries.

While Zeus was training soldiers for this war, his daughter; Artemis, thought otherwise. Artemis is our moon goddess she created our species to be the weapon against Lycaon. She gifted good men and women with her gifts. She gifted them with a wolf that would share the mind and the body while having two different bodies. She gifted them a love that would only be between two people and that would be infinite.

To protect herself she created wolves known as Priestesses, their fur was a pure white and they had specific powers to protect the young goddess.

When the time came for the war to begin she didn't let her father know of her creation because she wanted the species to be a secret weapon.

Once she saw that the Olympians were losing she let loose the army of her newly created species, Werewolves.

She watched as both werewolf and lycan kill each other, watching as her creations fell limp under the body of her fathers.

She watched for centuries as her creations numbers enlarged and the sinful creation of her father diminished.

After more than 4 centuries, the Olympians won. They gave mankind more gifts for their fight in the great battle.

Selene gifted mankind with eternity but there were some downfalls of her gift, they had to drink blood to survive and couldn't walk during the day. Some came to see it as a curse while some see it as a blessing.

Zeus gifted mankind with the ability to heal and bring about the spirits around them to guide them. Later being known as witches and fae creatures.

In the Olympians' eyes, they thought they were doing mankind a favor. While in reality they only made it worse.

With all the new supernatural beings roaming around there was bound to be a war of some sort, and there was.

The Vampires and the werewolves went to war over a woman.

A vampire named Vincent decided that the mate of King Amory, who was the king of all werewolves, was going to become apart of his clan.

Vincent was a lowly vampire, he had no status and no riches. When King Amory found out that this lowly vampire had taken his mate, Elena, he went to the Vampire King, Caelan.

He requested to kill the vampire and have his mate returned but what he didn't know was that Caelan had it all planned out, he took Amory's mate as his own. With the work of witches that was on his side, he removed Amory's mark from Elena's flesh.

And that night and in front of Amory, Caelan marked Elena as his own.

This infuriated Amory and he tried to kill Caelan that night but in his fit of rage, he killed his mate. He blamed himself and Caelan and made a silent vow that he would track him to the ends of this very earth.

For thousands of years, he fought and slew thousands of vampires that got in his way. His soul became tainted and his mind slowly slipped away from him due to the void created by his fallen mate.

On one blessed night, Amory finally had Caelan in his hand and he said, "Sit deam luna non miserebor vestri,"

He ripped Caelon's heart out and drunk the blood of his enemy.

Artemis watched over her creation and saw the pain Caelon caused him when he killed his mate. She recognized his valor for avenging his mate's death and deemed that if anyone of her creations mates were to die they would be granted a second chance. She blessed Amory with another mate but this mate was to bring him everlasting peace.

She mated him with Aadya, the sister of Caelon. With the pairing, Artemis wished that they would set their differences aside and be united as one.

Luckily, things went according to plan this time. Amory and Aadya became the rulers of the supernatural creating an end to the Blood War.

There was a treaty that all supernatural creatures signed and this treaty was a promise to keep peace and to remain in peace until there was a rightful purpose.

All species lived together in harmony. All thrived.

But one species was soon lost and forgotten to all.

Until now...
