I turn around to answer, but see him staring at my hair which I now realize must be a mess. Should I share with him about today’s activities? Or even the sex ed lesson I received from Dr. Green? It wasn’t too long ago that Kota caught me kissing Gabriel and it really upset him. I don’t ever want to see that look in Kota’s eyes again. Then again, I’m still really curious about touching and I haven’t had a real opportunity to examine and play with a penis as much as I’d like. Without telling Kota at least a little bit about my day, I won’t get the chance. And I’m so rarely alone with any of the boys, I don’t want to miss out on any opportunities when they come up. Would Kota be embarrassed to know that what we caught him doing earlier today is what prompted my curiosity? I decide on taking a chance and answer him.
“Well, after Dr. Green, Gabriel and I left your house, we came here. Gabriel mentioned that you were doing some stress relieving exercise so I thought Dr. Green should teach me the same exercise” I start, but I notice Kota’s eyes are round and his whole face is red. I don’t want him embarrassed so I hurry to explain. “After about an hour of sex education from a very uncomfortable Dr. Green, I now know all about sex!”
Kota’s face doesn’t return to a normal color, but his eyes soften quite a bit. The look in his eyes earlier was one of alarm. I wonder if he thought I saw anything earlier, but dismiss it.
“Sex ed, huh?” he asks. “Sorry I missed it.”
He continues standing awkwardly in front of me and I can’t help but smile up at him. He really is so handsome. I must be the luckiest girl in the world to have nine of the most caring, smart, handsome boys to call mine. He returns my smile with a quirk of an eyebrow. I just smile more and walk toward him, throwing my arms around his neck.
“Hi” I murmur into his neck when his arms wrap around me.
“Hi” he whispers back into my hair. “What do you want to do for the rest of the afternoon? We still have a little while before dinner and I think North will be here later to say hi after his shift at the diner.
“Can we have dinner at the diner?” I ask. I want to say hi to everyone and check my schedule for the coming week.
“Sounds good to me” Kota responds, absently running his fingers up and down my back. It’s moments like this that I understand more now. The feelings that his hands are giving me make much more sense now and I wonder how the boys have been able to be so patient with me for this long.
But the tingly feelings running rampant up and down my spine give me a pretty good idea of how I want to spend our time together before dinner. I’m nervous, downright terrified, of asking him to give me what I want but before I can worry about it too much Kota asks.
“What’s wrong? Why’d you tense up on me suddenly?” His brows are furrowed, but his eyes are alert for any danger.
“I, well, I was just considering how I wanted to spend the next couple hours with you and it made me nervous” I respond quietly. I know I’m blushing, but it can’t be helped. I’m lucky I made it this far in my quest to touch him.
“And what might that be and why did it make you so nervous?” he asks.
“Will you teach me?” I respond. I know he would never pass up the opportunity to teach anyone anything.
“Teach you what and why are you answering my questions with questions, Sang? What’s going on? You can talk to me” he reminds me.
He’s right, all 10 of us are a family now and while some of our conversations might be uncomfortable, we have to push through and be honest with each other. Otherwise, this crazy relationship we have will never work.
“I want to touch you. I want you to teach me how to touch you. You know, down there, like you did earlier today” I explain.
He’s quiet for several minutes, which would make me nervous but his hand never stops running up and down my back. Pairing that with the quiet mumbling I can hear, I know that he’s just gathering his thoughts. I rise to my toes to press a kiss to his jaw, working my way to his lips. He meets my kiss and responds in kind, but it’s brief. Too brief.
“Why?” he asks. “Do you feel pressured to please me now that you know all about...sex?”
“No! Of course not!” I respond, taking a step back but keeping my hands on his shoulders. “I’m curious, that’s all.”
His eyes squeeze tight at my response and I realize that Dr. Green mentioned something about romance during my lesson. I suppose appeasing a curiosity isn’t the most romantic way to begin a physical relationship with someone, but I thought Kota of all people would understand that it isn’t just about curiosity. I care about him and want to please him. I need to know how and I need him to teach me.
I take another step back and drop my arms to wrap around my stomach. Lowering my face, I start to walk away.
“Nevermind. I’m sorry. I understand why you don’t want to” I state before passing around him and heading to the bedroom, shutting the door behind me.
I drop onto the bed on my back and close my eyes. I lay in the silence for several minutes before I hear my phone buzz on the pillows near my head. Checking the screen, I see several text messages.
Dr. Green: Please don’t be mad, Pookie. I couldn’t let Gabe take advantage.
Mr. Blackbourne: I will be by Mr. Griffin’s home this evening. I’ve called a family meeting. I think we should discuss the events from this afternoon.
It appears Dr. Green doesn’t know about our activities from this afternoon yet, but does Mr. Blackbourne? Or is he referring to my sex ed lesson? If that’s it, why the family meeting? I type quick responses to both before moving on to my other messages.
Luke: I miss you.
Luke’s message is paired with a photo of a pile of pineapple on the counter at the diner. I laugh, sending a pair of lips back before continuing with my messages.
North: Luke says I have to ask you why he’s eating all the pineapple.
Sang: Can I tell you later? In person? Kota says I’ll see you tonight.
North: Of course, Sang Baby, but can you tell him to save some pineapple for the customers?
Sang: Okay, North Star.
Sang: Stop eating all the pineapple. I said everyday, not all day everyday.
Luke: Nope. I want to be sweet for you.
I smile. He is sweet. The sweetest. I roll onto my side, thinking about my afternoon with Gabriel and Luke. Remembering their heavy breathing and the looks of complete love and adoration written all over their faces. Sighing, wishing they were here, I flip back onto my back. Even though my idea to learn more about this new aspect of our relationship with Kota was a bust, that didn’t mean I couldn’t explore alone.
I slide my hands down into my skirt and find my panties still wet from earlier. I shimmy out of the panties and on impulse decide to just lose the skirt too. Feeling silly sitting here in a nice blouse and nothing else, I toss it away as well. I lay back down and spread my legs like Gabriel taught me. I repeat his exact movement with my own hand, but I feel no release. Not even close to the same feelings come over me when I touch myself. Maybe I’m just not good at it?
I hear the door creaking open and before I can move or do anything to cover myself, I see Kota standing in the doorway. His eyes are large and round and zeroed in on my hand between my legs. Feeling frustrated at not being able to please myself, I jump from the bed and grab his shirt, dragging him back to the bed with me.
“Please help me” I beg. “I tried, I can’t do it and it aches, Kota. Make it stop.”
Kota groans before covering my mouth with a kiss and covering my hand with his. He moves my hand to the place above my center that made me explode for Gabriel and gently moves my finger around in circles causing fireworks to go off behind my eyelids. I moan and move my hips. Kota responds by circling my finger faster and making me press down harder. Again, I explode on an animalistic sound and fall back to the bed, panting.
“Thank you, Kota” I say once I’ve caught my breath. “I know that wasn’t romantic like you probably wanted, but I was so frustrated. I needed you.”
Quietly, Kota rose from the bed and I feared he was walking away from me. Angry that I forced him to touch me that way when he wasn’t ready. I was pleasantly surprised when he shuts and locks the bedroom door. Walking back to the bed, he removes his shirt, shoes, pants and boxers before sliding into the spot beside me. Without saying a word, he put his hand on his erection and slowly starts to move it. Up and down, I watch his hand, him watching my face intently.
“Put your hand over mine” Kota instructs me.
Understanding his intentions, I gingerly place my hand over his. My hand moves with his, up and down and back again. His penis looks almost identical to Luke’s, though my fingertips are able to touch when wrapped around him, but barely. When I see a small bead of liquid surface on the tip, I do the same that I did for Luke. I lick the drop from the tip and Kota’s entire body goes still. I glance up at him and he has the same expression that Luke had before. I stick my tongue out and lick his tip again. Once again, for the second time that afternoon, the penis in front of me twitches violently and spurts white liquid all over my hand covering Kota’s penis and his stomach.
“God, Sang” Kota mumbles. “I’m sorry. I didn’t expect to let go that fast. I know you wanted to explore a bit.”
“It’s okay” I reply. “Luke and Gabriel had the same reaction. Actually, I didn’t even get to touch Gabriel.”
Realizing that I probably shouldn’t have shared my experience this afternoon with Gabriel and Luke with Kota, I whip my head up to meet his eyes. I relax when I see that he’s thoughtful rather than upset.
“That makes sense for Gabriel, but Luke prematurely ejaculating actually surprises me” Kota responds.
“Why’s that?” I ask curiously.
“I don’t know that I should tell you exactly why, but I think I should at least warn you that some of the guys have more experience than the rest of us” Kota explains. “I can tell you that Victor and myself are both virgins, though only Victor is quite as innocent as you.”
“Really? Victor?” I ask, genuinely surprised. “But he’s always had all those rich girls vying for his attention…” I trail off, understanding. “He’s been waiting for someone that sees Victor the person, not Victor the rich musical prodigy.”
“Exactly” Kota agrees on a nod. “Anything you do with Victor will be his first, even if it’s not yours.”
“And what about you? Will I be your first too?” I ask quietly.
“Yes, Sang. For everything that matters, you are my first.” Kota responds.
I’m curious now about what he means, but not willing to push the conversation further.
“So, will it always be that fast?” I ask.
“Hopefully not” Kota answers on a laugh. “But you should ask North or Silas about it. They’ll be able to talk to you about these things and give you the answers I see floating around in your head much better than I can.”
“We’re having a family meeting tonight, but I don’t think I can ask these questions in a room full of people, even if it is just our family” I tell him.
Kota sighs and squeezes my shoulder. “Don’t worry so much about it, Sang. We have years to figure this stuff out.”
The thought of years with my family makes me smile. I do love that idea and once again have thoughts of all 10 of us in a house together.
“Are you about ready to head to the diner for dinner?” Kota asks.
I nod my head and crawl from the bed to find my clothes. Deciding against wearing the wrinkled things in the floor that Gabriel would balk at, I find a comfortable black cotton skirt and match it with a pink shirt with black hearts in the closet. Since the shirt has a built-in bra, I decide to go without one and on impulse decide to go without panties as well. Looking over at Kota I see that my decision to go commando has earned me a raised eyebrow and I can’t help but giggle and blush a bit.
“Let’s go eat!” I exclaim, pulling him out of the bedroom and toward the front door.
“We should probably fix your hair first” Kota laughs. “Otherwise North will kill me and Gabriel will kill you.”
“Meanie would never!” I laugh. “Though I don’t doubt that North would punch something.”
I walk into the bathroom to run a brush through my hair and throw it in a clip before we head back toward the door. I’m pulled back just before we reach it and am wrapped in Kota’s warm arms, his spicy scent enveloping me.
“I think we’ll be getting back just in time for the family meeting and then we’ll have North with us. I just want one more moment of just the two of us before we head out” he explains.
I melt back into his arms and turn my head to meet his lips. We stand together near the front door, just holding each other and occasionally meeting lips in soft, sweet kisses. After several moments, the front door opens and we spring apart like we were caught doing something wrong. I look up to see Victor walking in, chuckling to himself.
“Don’t stop on my account” he jokes.
“It doesn’t bother you?” I ask. “Seeing me kissing the others?”
“No, Princess” he replies. “But do you have one to spare for me?”
Glancing at Kota to see whether he’s okay with it, I slowly make my way to Victor. I see Kota turning to walk into the kitchen. To give us privacy or because he doesn’t want to see, I’m not sure. Sighing, I turn to give Victor a brief kiss. He pulls me back into his arms for a deeper kiss.
“Rough day?” I ask when he allows to me pull away.
“The worst” he supplies. “I have to go back in a few hours for a little show of my musical skill.”
“Oh Victor, I’m sorry” I say. “You shouldn’t have to perform like their little monkey.”
He laughs and asks what we were doing before he got here. I blush and avert my eyes, causing him to laugh again.
“I can’t wait to hear what the noble Kota and Princess Sang were doing to cause that blush” he says.
“We were actually on our way to the diner for dinner, did you want to join us?” I ask.
“I ate before I came over, but I’d be happy to just sit with you while you eat” he responds. “That is, if I’m not interrupting a date.”
It’s my turn to laugh. “I hope none of you would bother trying to have alone time with me at the diner. Uncle alone would try to steal all my attention!”
“Hey, it was your idea to go to the diner” I hear Kota say, walking up behind me. “Are we ready? I really am hungry.”
“And what have you been doing to work up such an appetite, Kota?” Victor teases, causing Kota’s ears to turn red.
“Be nice, Victor” I admonish. I’m pretty sure Victor is teasing, not knowing that my knowledge of innuendo has improved since I saw him a few hours ago.
“Fine, fine” Victor says. “Let’s go get some food in Kota’s belly.”
“And Sang’s. I’m pretty sure she skipped lunch today” Kota responds. “She was working on something very important through our entire lunch break at school.”
“Just something Mr. Blackbourne asked me to do” I say evasively. I’m not ready to tell them all about Mr. Blackbourne’s idea of helping me through my emotions about women and showers.
“Fair enough” Kota replies. He knows that if it was something everyone needed to know, Mr. Blackbourne would share it with Kota. Or, Mr. Blackbourne has already shared it with Kota during one of their nightly telephone check-ins. Either way, I don’t have to talk about it and that’s alright with me. Just writing it down is hard enough and knowing that I’ll have to read my writing out loud during one of our family meetings gives me hives just thinking about it.
“We ready?” I ask, turning to the door.
The three of us walk to the diner hand-in-hand through the woods on the other side of Nathan’s house, Victor and Kota on either side of me. I can’t wait for the days when we won’t have to drop hands and step away from each other in front of other people. Since I’m feeling so touchy today, I link my pinky with Kota’s like we have on several other occasions that holding hands would be frowned on.
Walking into the diner, we hear that business is good with several tables full of loud, boisterous Academy members. It’s weird now that I know about the Academy how I didn’t notice the differences in the people before. Academy members are always on alert, eyes always checking every entrance or exit. Bodies always ready to spring into action.
We grab a table in Luke’s section since Gabriel’s was mostly full, although they always help each other out. Watching Gabriel and Luke work the dining room is one of my favorite things about working at the diner. Compared to all the other employees, our team included, those two circle each other like circus performers. Always laughing and joking with whatever table they’re at, high-fiving each time they pass each other or simply maneuvering around each other and the tables and customers. North and Silas are amicable enough to the customers and Silas even converses with them on numerous occasions, but they are more focused on the work. For Luke and Gabriel, it appears that the work is their secondary objective and conversing with customers and having a good time is their first. But no one ever complains, the drinks and food are always delivered on time. It’s just amazing to watch.
“Well lookey here, I do declare I’ve got the prettiest customer in the room!” I hear Luke say loudly when he reaches our table to take our drink order.
Blushing, I stare at my hands. I know the other Academy members are probably ignoring him and not a soul has turned to look, but just the thought that someone might have their eyes on me has me squirming.
“Luke, stop” Kota says. “You’re making her uncomfortable.”
“You wanna hear uncomfortable?” he responds. “Try explaining to Uncle that he has to go to the store to get more pineapple for tomorrow’s dessert special because you ate it all. Now that was uncomfortable.”
“Why are you suddenly craving so much pineapple?” Kota asks. “If you eat too much of it, you’ll give yourself a stomach ache.”
“I’m eating it because Sang told me to” he responds, mirth in his eyes. “And I didn’t eat all of it at once. I actually just cut it all up and hid it so I could take it home with me.”
I blush furiously, remembering our conversation from earlier. Am I going to have to recap my afternoon for everyone? Sighing, I realize that I probably am. I make a mental note to mention at the meeting that my physical relationship with each of them is private. Private jokes like this are fine, but we’re going to have to establish some kind of boundary line.
“Why would Sang…” Kota starts, glancing at me. “Oh I see, nevermind then. Don’t eat more than a cup or two a day or you really will be sick.”
Turning to me, Victor’s fire eyes are dancing when he asks, “What on earth did I miss today?”
“Sex ed lessons with Dr. Green” Kota answers. “We’ll discuss it more at the meeting later.”
At that moment, I could kiss Kota. I really didn’t want to have this conversation a dozen times.
“Although, Sang, I think it might be a good idea to pull North to the side and give him a heads up as soon as possible” Kota says. “You know his reactions can be severe when he’s surprised with things.”
I nod, agreeing wholeheartedly. I had planned to do just that when I went in the back to say hi to Uncle.
“Should I run back there now? I know what I want. If you don’t mind ordering for me, that is” I ask.
“Good idea” Kota answers. “Though everyone in this building already knows what you’re going to order, what would you like?”
I laugh my answer, “Usually I get fruit with them. This time, I think I’ll have some eggs and sausage.”
“You haven’t had enough protein already today, Cupcake?” Luke asks on a laugh.
“Luke!” I gasp. “Not here, okay?”
“Okay, okay” he responds. “But this is the only place I get to be your boyfriend in public. I like to brag.”
Softening at that, I say gently, “Just no bragging about that, okay?”
“Seriously, what did I miss today?” Victor asks again, eyebrows raised.
“I accidentally swallowed, okay?” I reply. “That’s all you’re getting for now. Will you let me out so I can go warn North before this meeting?”
Kota, Victor and Luke are still laughing as a hurry to kitchen doors just in time to see Gabriel coming out of them. He looks over my shoulder at the table and sighs.
“Luke is such an ass sometimes” he says. “Look, he’s just happy. Don’t be too mad at him alright?”
“I’m not mad, Gabriel” I reply honestly. “Just extremely embarrassed. And the idea of telling this story, as well as everything else, at the meeting is also nerve-wracking.”
“Don’t worry about it” he tells me. “We’re all going to be thrilled with the idea. That is, until Mr. B ruins it with more rules.”
“I won’t let him” I promise. “I remember the kissing rule and plan to follow this situation in the same way. I ask or initiate or nothing happens and I’m comfortable with that.”
“God, I fucking love you” is Gabriel’s only reply before rushing off to take care of his customers.
I continue my walk to the kitchen. Pushing open the door, I see Uncle over the stove stirring something that smells heavenly and sweet. North is at the prep table, cutting vegetables.
“Hi, Uncle. Hi, North. I just came by to eat some dinner and check my schedule.” I greet them both.
North looks up, concerned. He can tell I have something to say and am nervous about it.
“I can get it for you” North huffs.
I follow him into the office and he shuts the door behind us. We have probably 3 minutes before Uncle comes in to check on us so I quickly reach up to give him a kiss.
“I know what the meeting is about tonight and I want to tell you before you’re surprised and get upset” I hurry to explain before we’re interrupted. “I had a sex ed lesson and fooled around with Luke, Gabriel and Kota today. Not all at the same time, at separate times.”
North’s brows furrow, like he’s trying to understand my hurried speech. I see recognition on his face when everything I’ve said finally makes sense.
“Those little shitheads” North growls. “Why would they take…”
“North” I start, placing one hand on each of his cheeks. “I asked, with exact words, for everything that was done today. I promise. There was no touching that I did not ask for.”
“Still…” he begins.
“No, North” I cut him off. “I want to explore and learn all about what pleases me and what pleases you. I can’t do that without some touching. Well, a lot of touching.”
“You want to please me, huh” North asks, a smile quirking the corner of his lips.
I giggle, nodding my head in response before placing my lips back on his. We hear the rattle of the door and pull apart but stay close together like we’re discussing important matters, which I suppose we were. I look over to see Uncle and Luke in the doorway, Luke with that smile still in place.
“What’s going on in here” Uncle asks suspiciously.
“Uncle” Luke says. “Learn to trust a little. This is my family, I trust my family. Plus, Sang could be dangling from North like a spider-monkey, but I’d still know where she’ll be later.”
“Luke!” I admonish again. “I just told you not to brag!”
“Sorry, sorry” he responds. “I can’t help it. You surprised the hell out of me!”
“Wait, when you say ‘fooled around’, what exactly did you mean?” North asks, eyes narrowing.
“North, don’t get mad” I grab his arm, turning him back toward me to meet my eyes. Throwing a North fit now, in front of Uncle, will not be good for anyone.
“I’m pissed as hell, Sang Baby” North growls. “You made him steal all the pineapple!”
Surprised at his answer, I laugh out loud. And I can hear Luke take off running while Uncle yells at him to ‘buy his own damn pineapple’.
“What is all this business about pineapple, anyway?” Uncle asks.
“Ask Sang” North grumbles.
Blushing and scowling at North, I turn to Uncle. “It’s a private, relationship-type matter, Uncle” I respond. “You understand, right?”
“Of course, sweetie. What I don’t understand, though, is why this is any of North’s business” he replies.
“North worries about me. That’s all, Uncle” I answer him truthfully. “We’re family, so it’s kind of all of their business.”
Uncles laughs, “eight brothers and a boyfriend. I don’t know whether to congratulate you for somehow being that lucky or feel sorry for ya.”
I cringe at Uncle’s assumption that the rest of the guys are like brothers to me, but I understand why he would assume that. It doesn’t make it any less gross to me.
“Right, well, now that that’s over, would you like to see your schedule for next week?” North huffs.
“Actually” Uncle interrupts before I can answer. “Blackbourne says to keep her off the schedule for the whole week.”
“What? Why?” I ask.
“Don’t know” Uncle answers. “Something about Academy business.”
With that parting shot, Uncle walks back to the kitchen, leaving the office door wide open.
I turn to North with questions in my eyes and North just shrugs and shakes his head. “Family meeting” he says by way of explanation.
It occurs to me then that the family meeting might not just be about my newfound interest in sex.
