Chapter Four

After a lovely dinner of chocolate chip pancakes, sausage and eggs, everyone from our family heads to Nathan’s from the diner. I know Gabriel and Luke have to go back, but I’m hoping to get a little bit of alone time with North somehow. I just know that he’ll be able to let me touch him without it ending too soon.

We arrive at Nathan’s first, but are followed shortly by Mr. Blackbourne and Dr. Green, though they arrive in separate cars. All we’re missing are Silas and Nathan, which I find out soon is because they’re on stake-out duty and will be with us by phone only.

Everyone settles on the couches and chairs, or the floor, in the living room and Mr. Blackbourne calls the meeting to order.

“Our first order of business will be brief” he begins. “Miss Sorenson has been requested for her first Academy assignment.”

My eyes widen in disbelief. Me? Requested? Why?

“It seems your friends from camp have a special task that needs Academy intervention” Mr. Blackbourne continues. “Lake came from a foster home and it came to light that conditions were less than poor. There seems to have been some molestation in the house.”

“They don’t expect her to infiltrate the foster home, do they?” Kota asks before North stands and starts pacing behind me.

“No. Nothing so severe” Mr. Blackbourne answers, causing all of our shoulders to loosen up and settle. “Should she accept the assignment, she will be playing the part of employee at an ice cream shop where a few of the younger children will be brought in by their case worker. This is a weeklong assignment and Dr. Green will be your backup.”

I look at Dr. Green, curious now. “But what about school?” I ask.

“You’re no longer in regular classes, Miss. Sorenson. You don’t have to be there. Since you are needed on another assignment, we will make sure you’re not missed at the school” Mr. Blackbourne explains.

“Good luck with that” Gabriel states dryly. “She’s more popular than Silas.”

I blush, but agree. I seem to get some very strange attention at that school for some reason.

“What about Dr. Green, why won’t he be missed at school” I continue.

“Dr. Green will not be returning to the school” Mr. Blackbourne states. “He has chosen to focus on the hospital and any other Academy jobs he can assist with.”

I look at Dr. Green again in curiosity, but he’s just smiling back at me. After a quick wink in my direction, he returns his attention to Mr. Blackbourne, letting me know to do the same. I meet Mr. Blackbourne’s eyes and see that he’s asked a question.

“I’m sorry” I stammer. “What was that?”

“Are you willing to accept this assignment, Miss Sorenson?” he repeats.

“Oh” I hedge. “I would actually like a bit more information before I agree, if that’s okay?”

My answer must have been the right one because I see one of those millimeter smiles.

“Of course, Miss Sorenson” Mr. Blackbourne answers. “We’ll discuss more after the family meeting. For now, I believe Dr. Green has some news to share.”

“Right-o!” Dr. Green replies, jumping to his feet before padding over to me to pull me to mine. I can see twin smiles on Gabriel and Luke’s faces and I scowl back at them. “Today Miss Sorenson took some initiative” I hear a snort from Luke and even North laughs a little at Dr. Green’s wording. “She approached me to learn about sex and while it took quite awhile to explain the ins and outs” at this, pretty much everyone is outright laughing. “She learned everything that she needed to learn. Sang, do you have anything to add?”

I nod, suddenly not quite so nervous since everyone is laughing. And really, the people that I was nervous about their reactions already know, so I begin. “After Dr. Green left, I asked Gabriel to show me how to do what we caught Kota doing earlier, only for a girl” I begin.

If I’m going to be embarrassed, I’m taking them all down with me. Once I’ve said this, the room is howling with laughter. Even Silas’ laugh is booming through the phone on speaker.

“Somewhere between asking Gabriel and Gabriel saying yes, Luke showed up, so he decided to join us” I continue.

At this, everyone stops laughing. I suppose I never did mention that Gabriel and Luke were with me at the same time, but there’s no turning back now.

“Gabriel showed me how to pleasure myself, which I’m not very good at, by the way” I say. “And then I tried to learn how to pleasure Gabriel, but he said he couldn’t because he came in his pants. I think Kota called that premature ejaculation?”

The room erupts in laughter again, but I don’t know why they’re laughing. I continue, “I got to touch Luke’s penis, but I barely had my hands on him before he came too.”

Everyone continues laughing and I can see Luke throw a pillow at Dr. Green and shout “I’d like to see you do any better when she talks about being inside her while she’s got those cute fingers wrapped around your dick!”

Out of the corner of my eye, I see North jump up from his spot leaning on the back of the couch and head toward the bathroom. I run to catch him before he can go in there and do what I think he’s going to do.

“Sang Baby” North warns when I wrap my hands around his arm, stopping him.

“Just a second” I beg. I pull him toward me so that I can reach up and whisper in his ear, “If you wait until the meeting’s over, I would love to take care of that for you.”

North growls before taking my hand and dragging me toward the bedroom. I giggle as I skip along behind him. Once we’re in the room, he slams the door and places himself on the floor in front of it. He drags me down on his lap so that I’m straddling him. He kisses me once, twice and then sighs.

“Evidently you have a way with words” North says.

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“I just pulled a Gabriel. Or a Luke. Not sure which, maybe both” he explains.

It takes me a moment to understand what he means. I stare at him wide-eyed.

“But Kota said you’d be the best person to talk to about all this stuff. That you could tell me how it all works and that you have all this experience” I exclaim.

“You can talk to any of us, Sang Baby” North says. “But yeah, you just say all the right things and you make my body do crazy things. Like prematurely ejaculate all over my pants.”

I giggle and kiss him again.

“Run on back out there while I change” North says.

Sighing, I get up and walk back into the living room where everyone is still giggling and talking. This time the focus seems to be on Kota. So they must have continued the story without me. Good.

Luke glances up and says, “Back so soon?” With an evil smile on his face.

“Yeah well, evidently I have a way with words” I reply tartly, causing everyone to laugh again.

I glance at the only person in the room that isn’t laughing and see that he’s already looking at me. He pats the place on the couch between him and Dr. Green. I eagerly scamper over to sit between them. It isn’t often that Mr. Blackbourne allows me to be so close to him since he has to appear to be indifferent to me at school.

Leaning down, Mr. Blackbourne whispers in my ear, “I think for the benefit of the group, you should stay in my home with me tonight.”

I look at him questioningly and mouth “why?”

He simply mouths back, “trust” so I nod in agreement.

Mr. Blackbourne turns back to the group to address everyone. “I believe in light of Miss Sorenson’s newfound curiosity, and for my own peace of mind, until each of you have a visit with Dr. Green at the hospital, Miss Sorenson will be staying with me. Mr. Coleman, please prepare Miss Sorenson an overnight bag.”
