Love at First Bite

Chapter 6

I am proud of my self, do not know why I just am.

Anyways there is going to be a few surprises in this chapter.

Skye's P.O.V. 

"OK so the plan is to watch their every move" Melanie said when we where all in a huddle. "Stalker much" Sirius mumbled. "Oh come on Sirius! it isn't the end of the world!" James said patting his best mate on the back. "Guys I actually have to go, I have a date" Sirius said. I quickly looked at Melanie, who had a look of hurt in her eyes. "Oh really Padfoot, You've basically dated all the girls in the school, who is it this time?" Melanie still had the hurt in her eyes. "It's a Ravenclaw, Amy heather..." "I going to go find them" Melanie cut him off, and stormed off. "Whats wrong with her?" James asked looking confused. "I guess she was right, boys are stupid" Elizabeth said and chased after her. Riana and I followed and found her in an alleyway, crying. 

"It's alright Melanie, He is just a boy, nothing to cry over." Elizabeth soothed. "You don't know how much it hurts!" She yelled. "What if I don't know, Your parents died! that's what it feels like!" "I think you Forgot but I live with my Grandma for a reason!" Elizabeth screamed back, tears in her eyes. I held back Melanie from leaping at her and Riana held Elizabeth back. 

"Ladies Ladies that's enough!" I screamed. They calmed down then hugged. "Sorry" "No i'm Sorry" Their apologies where drowned out by screams and spells being fired.

"Crucio!"

"Stupefy!"

"Avada...."

"Expelliarmus!"

We ran to where to screams where heard, and I saw a horrifying sight. "Death eaters..." (DUN DUN DUN) I scanned the area, Alice and Frank where fighting back a death eater each in one corner. Riana went to help. We raced through to crowd to find the others. Elizabeth spotted James and Sirius fighting three, she went to help. Melanie went to find Peter. who was with Remus. But where was Kaitlyn?

"Crucio!" A blood curdling scream rang through my ears. "Get behind me! Stupefy!" 'Kaitlyn'  I ran and found her protecting three third years who looked utterly terrified. "Skye, get them out of here!" I grabbed the third years and put them behind me. "What about you?!" "Don't worry about me, are the others, Stupefy! OK?" She screamed over everyone. "Yes!" "Then go!" I panicked, She was my sister I couldn't leave her! but the third years needed me more. pulling them along with me, dodging different spells, and every now and then firing them. 

We reached the carriages and the death eaters had left. I searched the crowd. Elizabeth was supporting James who had a large gash down his leg. Sirius was carrying Melanie who had passed out. Riana, Remus and Peter had bruises and cuts, Frank and Alice where comforting some fourth year muggle borns, with a few scratches as well, Jason was carrying a dead body, of which looked like that Amy, Sirius was going to go on a date with that very day. 

But Kaitlyn was no where. 

"Skye where's Kaitlyn?" Remus asked looking at me with hope. "I don't know" I asked with a big lump in my throat. Remus ran back and I followed. "Kaitlyn!" "Where are you!?" we called out to her for ages. until Remus yelled out. "Found her" I ran to him and found her passed out. Remus picked her up and we walked back to the carriages. 

"Oh no! Kaitlyn not you too!" Riana exclaimed panicking. "It's alright Riana, I'm fine" She mumbled opening her eyes a little. "KAITLYN JAY TALA DON'T YOU DARE SCARE US LIKE THAT AGAIN!" Elizabeth yelled and hugged her. Remus kissed her cheek, amusement filling his eyes. "Is Melanie OK?" Kaitlyn asked us when her eyes landed on her body. "Yea just a knock on the head" James winced. "Oh James stop moving!" Elizabeth exclaimed. "Your leg won't heal!" "Honestly those two fight like a married couple" Kaitlyn whispered to me. I giggled. And rested my eyes on Jason.

"Go talk to him" "WHY?!" "look how me and Remus turned out"  I blushed and shrugged. Walking up to him I sat beside him on my knees and stared down at the dead body. "Shes in a better place now" He mumbled to me. "Where you two close?" "Yea, best friends" I nodded and gave him a small hug. "At least she can watch over you now." he smiled at my words. "No wonder your  a Hufflepuff, your one of the nicest people I have ever met." I smiled a him and got up to check on Melanie.

I could feel his eyes follow me away then go back to looking at his now passed friend. I know I never met her, but she seemed like such a nice girl to everyone, and I wish I had met her.

"Is Melanie OK?" I asked Sirius. "yea.. I don't understand why she stormed off before but" I sighed "That's what love does to people, my friend" He looked shocked and rested his eyes on her body, then smiled. "She likes me doesn't she?" I nodded and left him kneeling beside her.

A few days past since the attack and yesterday was Amy's funeral. There where so many people there, including the whole of hogwarts, her friends and her family. Jason looked the saddest of them all, tears threatening to spill, I gave him a hug. I felt him smile and he hugged back. 

"Thanks for being there for me Skye." "No problem" I gave him a kiss on the cheek and left him blushing. Smiling to myself I went and found the others. They where all in the Griffindor common room sitting by the fire. Kaitlyn's head was in Remus' lap. Sirius well Padfoot at the time was getting a good scratch behind the ear from Melanie, Elizabeth was reading, again. James was watching her with googly eyes and Alice, Frank, Riana and Peter where chatting away. Melanie and Sirius are a thing along with Alice and Frank and Riana and Peter. It won't be long until it's my turn, I guess. 

"Hey guys now that your all here do you want to come to my family ball at Christmas?" James asked. "Muggle borns, Halfbloods and purebloods are aloud" "YEA" We all yelled at the same time, laughter soon filled the room. "C'mon Kaitlyn, we should be going to bed." Elizabeth said standing up, Kaitlyn nodded, kissed Remus a goodnight then they left the common room. "Same with us Riana" She nodded waved goodbye then we followed them through the portrait hole. 

When we reached the common room it did not take long until sleep over whelmed my body and left me in a deep slumber.

OK now we going to go back to the usual cycle of P.O.V's starting with Mel's next chapter.       And also yes a few surprises have happened including the death eater attack and Amy's death. I won't be publishing very much for the next few days because i'm going on a holiday, so I won't be able to go on my computer much sadly.
