My eyes flutter open, and I breathe Reece's scent in deeply. I smile, looking over at my boyfriends sleeping figure. His mouth is slightly ajar, soft snores leaving his parted lips. I lean over and begin peppering his face with soft kisses, leaving a small trail across his cheeks and jaw."Mm." Reece whines, turning over to bury his head in my chest. I laugh, running my hand through his hair.
"Morning babe." I whisper, kissing his temple.
"Morning." Reece mumbles groggily.
"Did you sleep well?" I ask, continuing my soft rhythm with my hands running through his hair.
"Yeah. I always do when I'm with you." His comment makes me grin proudly; I'm succeeding. I'm making him feel safe, and happy. That's my goal.
"I'm seriously so glad baby." I sigh happily.
"I love it when you call me 'babe' and 'baby'." Reece mutters softly after a minute. I smirk, looking down at Reece, whose cheeks are flushed. His eyes are still screwed shut and his hair is messy, poking out in every direction.
"I know you do. That's why I call you them." I answer cheekily. Reece laughs softly before nudging his head up so that we are facing each other, but his eyes stay shut.
"But you know what I love more?" He whispers whilst he smirks. I nudge my nose against his as a silent way of saying 'go on'. "You." He smiles. I belt out a laugh before attaching my lips to his, attempting to kiss him even though it fails considering we're both smiling way too widely. We pull away again, keeping our noses pressed together.
"Gosh, I wish I could wake up like this everyday." Reece says. I laugh, nodding.
"I agree." I hum. I begin getting out of bed, before Reece whines and pulls me back by the arm. I laugh, falling backwards so that I'm lying across his stomach. I look at him upside down, giving him a lopsided grin that he immediately returns, running a hand through my hair.
"So what are your plans for today?" He asks. I shrug.
"Don't have any. Do you?" I ask back.
"None. How about... we go to mine for a swim in my pool?" He suggests. I raise my eyebrows.
"You have a pool?! How did I not know this?!" I exclaim, sitting up and looking at Reece.
"I don't know, it just never came up." Reece says sheepishly. "So what do you say?"
I agree, and soon we find ourselves dressed and making our way to Reece's house. We laugh and mess around as we are walking, until we find ourselves in front of Reece's house. As we are walking up the path, I think back to our first date, when I opened the door to Lexi when picking him up. We get inside, hearing the relatively quiet house. It's quite beautiful and homey; pictures littering the walls, the pink and white curtains rolled neatly to the side, exposing the bright outside, the matted floors making our footsteps completely silent... I'd love to live here. Although maybe it's mainly because I'd wanna live with Reece.
"Mum?" Reece yells. We hear a quiet 'in the kitchen' yelled back, so we head in that direction. I feel my stomach churn slightly at the thought of having to meet Reece's mum (a/n I can't remember if they've met yet so just go with it lol) and I try to steady my shaking hands. Reece grabs my hand and quickly kisses it before we enter the kitchen. His mum is standing at the stove, cooking something. She looks up when we enter and sends us a large smile.
"Reece, George, how lovely to see you!" She exclaims, coming over to hug us both before returning to her cooking. I greet her as politely as I can, and Reece grins at me.
