{Still Reece's POV}It's not until at least an hour later that we finally get an update. A doctor in a white coat comes out, making us all look at him hopefully.
"Mr Smith?" He says monotonously. Immediately, the four of us stand up, running up to the doctor.
"Is he okay?" I immediately ask, my voice hoarse and broken. The doctor gives me a soft, sympathetic smile.
"Yes, Mr Smith is going to be fine. Follow me." I feel a wave of relief wash through me and, for the first time in a while, a smile makes itself onto my face. We quickly scurry after him, going up a flight of stairs and making it to a hospital room. 215.
"I have to ask that only two people enter the room at the same time." The doctor says, making the four of us look at each other. A silent message seems to go around and Natasha grabs my wrist.
"We'll go first." She says. The doctor nods and we follow after him into the room. There, we are faced with the sight of George, my precious George, lying on the hospital bed, looking relatively lifeless; he has an oxygen mask on, his head is wrapped in a bandage and he has wires coming out of pretty much every visible bit of skin. I feel my eyes subconsciously water and I quickly run to his side, not knowing whether I can hold his hand or not. I look up at the doctor, who gives me a soft nod, allowing me to envelop George's hand in my own.
"Alright, first of all, my name is Doctor Gathe, I've been looking after Mr Smith since he arrived. May I ask what are your connections to Mr Smith?" Dr Gathe says, holding his clipboard to his chest.
"He's my son." Natasha answer first. I'm frozen, staring at George as he breathes in and out.
"And you, sir?" I'm snapped out of my daze by the doctor, making me once again look up at him.
"Oh, right, I-I'm his boyfriend." I say, awaiting the doctors reaction. Thankfully, he just nods and continues speaking as thought it were no different to anyone else. More people should be like Dr Gathe.
"Well, thankfully Mr Smith looks worse than he is; when the car gave impact to his body, he managed to crack three ribs, one of which began poking at his lung, which is why when he woke up he was struggling to breathe. Therefore, we managed to fix his ribs and he now has a bandage around his chest that he'll need to wear for six weeks, changing it every four days. Apart from that, he fractured his wrist and when he fell, he hit his head and got a concussion. So, he'll be on two different pain killers, one for his head and one for his broken bones, that he'll need to take twice a day for four weeks, otherwise he'll be in extreme pain. That's about it. Just try your best to help him out when he needs it and he let him rest as much as possible." I feel my chest ache for my boy as Dr Gathe lists off the different injuries he has. Natasha speaks to him for a little longer, asking about different things she might need to know, but I zone out, watching George carefully. This is all my fault. Why did I have to be so selfish? I didn't think about the consequences my decisions could have, and it landed George in hospital... it's all my fault.
"When will he wake up?" I find myself saying, obviously interrupting whatever the two were talking about. Natasha, though, finds interest in my question and awaits the answer.
"Anytime now. He's just resting at the moment." Dr Gathe smiles sadly at me. I nod slowly and turn back to George, holding his hand in mine even tighter.
"Reece?" I look up suddenly, realising I'd zoned out. Dr Gathe has left, and Natasha is watching me sadly.
"I'm going to go explain what happened to your mum and Blake. I can send Blake in afterwards if you want?" She says, making me nod.
