"No... no she couldn't have. That's not true. Stop lying!" I ripped my hand away and lifted it to my face. Why did I always have to deny things, why couldn't I accept the truth?"Baby please look at me. I'll call Sam and Kian and see what happened they were with her especially sam, I'll get us tickets to catch a flight by tonight to California. Maybe it wasn't that bad" Jc reassured me. I didn't bother to wipe my tears away, I just let them fall.He pulled himself closer to me and gently secured his arms around me. This time I just sat there instead of pulling away. Both our phones went off at the same time with a text tone. I pulled mine out and unlocked it, handing it to Jc to read my text.It was from Sam and kian.

Jasmine's in the hospital. I'm not sure if they called you yet but we're here with her. We'll explain this all to you later. She's in a coma, they're unsure of what's gonna happen next. She has a few scratches and bruises. If you can, please get here soon.My voice shook and I looked up at Jc, "A coma..?"

He planted a kiss on the top of my head and whispered. It's gonna be okay.

Chaper 47

Me and Jc both went different directions. He went home to find the soonest flight to California. I went home, and picked up Beth on the way to help me pack. When we got to my house, Beth pulled all my clothes out of my closet as I ripped my suitcase out from under my bed. I began throwing the first pair of shirts, shorts, hoodies, pants, anything, in first. Not even bothering to fold or place anything nicely. Beth was in my bathroom collecting all my items I'd needed and tossing them to me. Reaching for my shoes, I stuffed them all into a duffel bag. Randomly all I thought I would need for however long I'd be in Calfornia again was thrown into either my suitcase or duffel bag. I'd be there for weeks if I had to, just to make sure my bestfriend is okay. Beth said she had to run a quick errand and had left 10 minutes ago. Finally when everything was done, my room was completely messy, I sat down on my bed. I heard a knock on my door and opened it for Beth. She walked in with a smile on her face holding a box of pizza, a tub of icecream, a two-liter of cherry coke, and hot cheetohs."Jc called me and said the earliest flight you guys can catch is in 3 hours. He didn't want to call you because he didn't want to bother since he knew your busy. So I ordered us a pizza and made a quick stop at the store. Why don't we sit and stuff our faces while you let all your tears come out and tell me everything that's bothering you. Including stories of Jasmine. But we both know she's gonna be A-O-Kay," she winked.

I was still Fixing the duffel bag that was slung across my left shoulder, I turned to wave to Beth and my mom, who were sitting in the car. I looked back foward as Jc nodded at me to come, both our suitcases in his hands.

I quickly caught up with him we were running late, "The airport always has this exact smell."

"Never noticed since I'm always here. C'mon this way," he nodded left. I looked at Jc and gentley put my hand on his forearm. He turned to see what's wrong and worried filled in his eyes."I know your on the edge from crying, I know she's your bestfriend and like a sister to you. But I promise everything will be okay," and his hand went up to my face as he leaned down to softly kiss me. Stressing isnt going to do anything, so I smiled back and kissed him one last time before we continued towards our plane before it goes off were gonna make it to the plane.
