*beginning of college*

"I'm so excited to be sharing a room with you Annie" Brennan said to me while we got out of the car. "Me too, maybe someday we can get our own apartment" I smiled.

Truth is that's the exact opposite of what I want. Recently he's been coming to my house a lot, not sober. My mom almost caught him hitting me. Yes, he has hit me. I tried the kissing thing again but he just pushed me off of him. I don't know why I still am with him. I guess I still love him, but that's what I said with Hayden.

"Ok Brennan Donnelly you'll be in building 4, floor 2, room 11" the lady gave him the keys.

"Annie Leblanc you will be in building 4, floor 2, room 10" the lady gave me keys. (Obviously I've never been to college so I really don't know how it works but just go with it)

I thought we were sharing a dorm? I'm not complaining though. "Wait there must be a problem, me and my girlfriend are supposed to share a room" Brennan said to the lady.

"Sorry that's what is says on the computer" the lady replied "WELL FIX IT!" Brennan yelled at the poor lady. She looked terrified. Before anything else could happen I stepped in front of him and tried to calm him down. Surprisingly, it worked.

"It's fine babe,  we're right next to each other" he walked away but he still seemed pissed. "Whatever" He says annoyed. "I'm sorry about that" I said to the lady.

"But by any chance do you know who our roommates are?"

"U-um he's with Ellie Shurman"

"And me?"

"They haven't c-checked in yet"

"Okay thanks and sorry again" I grab my bags and rush to the elevators before Brennan can close the doors.

The entire ride he was ignoring me and I could feel his anger. We got out of the elevator and tried to find our rooms. Before we walked in our dorms I tried to brighten the mood. "Hey after we unpack do you wanna get lunch?" He ignored me and shut his door. I opened my door to see the place I'll be staying in the couple of years.

I finished unpacking and collapsed on my bed. I started thinking to myself how life is going to be now. And who is my roommate. Whoever she is I hope she's cool because I don't want to be stuck with a bitch the entire time I'm here.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing. I pick it up to see Brennan's face and then mentally sigh. I pick up the call. "Hello?" I say.

"Well are we going to fucking go or not?" He yells into the phone. "Oh I didn't think we were"

"Well get your ass down here!" He hangs up the phone and I quickly change and head out the door.

"Can we go now?" I ask, Brennan, who's been on his phone the entire time we've been at McDonald's. Yep. He took us to McDonald's for our date.

He's been staring at his screen laughing and smiling. I don't think much of it because even though he's abusive, he's not a cheater. "Fine let's go" he rolls his eyes.

On the way back to our dorms he picked up a call and couldn't stop smiling ever since. I was going to exit the elevator when Brennan said, "yeah no I'm single and free tomorrow for breakfast"

I immediately turned around and slapped him then said, "if you're going to cheat on me try harder to hide it, you dick." I ran to my dorm with Brennan running after me. I successfully got in my room and locked the door while Brennan was banging on the door. "Annie let me in! I'm sorry." Sorry? He's sorry? That's it?

"Well Brennan, I'm breaking up with your sorry ass."

I got out of the shower and started putting on my pajamas when I noticed I was singing a song that was not coming out of my phone. I quickly looked for something I could use against this intruder. I grabbed my toothbrush, hey if I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die fighting.

I opened the door to see who was trying to kill me when I see him. Hayden.
