The drive back was silent. All you could hear was the tires rolling smoothly across the ground. After he confessed what he felt for me last night, we just sat there and hugged.
It really brought back memories, some made me happy and some made me wish I never had met him.
I'm not sure where we stand as of now. I don't know if he still likes me. I don't know if I should forgive him or not. I don't know if I should believe him when he's told me he's changed.
Did he tell lies? Does he love me? Did he ever, love me?
These thoughts put me to sleep, or maybe they finally woke me up.
"Annie, Annie", my shoulders were being shaken lightly. My eyes opened and Hayden was standing in front of me.
"We're here," He says.
I nod and grab my bags. It was silent once more, and I didn't like it.
"Thank you, again, for driving me,"
"Oh it's no problem, I just hope you're okay," He gives me a small smile.
Then all the memories come back. He's gone, he's really gone. How? Why?
...
As soon as I was done unpacking, I made my way to Kenzie's dorm and knocked on her door. No one answered. She doesn't have any classes right now. Where is she? I take my phone out from my pocket and click on her contact. No answer. That's it. I take my spare keys she gave to me and opened her door.
Big mistake.
"Eww Eww Eww!" I yell.
I quickly shut the door trying to get the mental image of Johnny on top of Kenzie out of my head.
A couple of seconds later the door opened and revealed a very red-faced Kenzie.
"I'm so sorry you had to see that," Kenzie said.
"So I take it you forgave him?" I asked.
"Yeah, and he makes me really happy," she beamed.
"I'm happy for you kenz," She gives me a warm smile.
"Come on in!" She opens the door for me to enter.
"Bye babe," Johnny says while pecking her lips. "Bye John," she smiles.
"So what happened with your trip with Hayden?"
I tell her everything. Caleb. She broke down in tears with me. Caleb was like her older brother too.
Hayden. How he told me he loved me and how we hugged all night, just like being in each others presence.
"So do you forgive him?" She asks,
"I don't know,"
...
The next day Hayden and I walked to our class together. It was silent but comfortable. Then I feel a tap on my shoulder and I stop walking to see who it was. Austin.
"Hey, again," he smiles.
Fuck, I forgot about him.
"Hi," I smile back being polite.
"Who's your new friend, Annie?" Hayden says surprisingly calm.
"I'm Austin," he says while holding out a hand.
