Stiles wrapped his arms around Derek as they leaned against the car door in the cold December air. Derek's body heat warmed Stiles through his sweater as Stiles father walked over and cleared his throat. "Boys, say your goodbye's we'll be back tomorrow." Victoria walked up and patted Stiles on the head as she got in the car. Stiles frowned and Derek ran a hand over his hair.
HIs father got into the car and Stiles looked up at Derek's eyes and sighed, "I wish you were coming with us.." Derek smiled and kissed Stiles on his forhead, "Stiles, you're going to be back tomorrow, you lived years without me before surely you can last a day."
Stiles sighed and leaned his head against Derek's chest. "Yes, but I wish I didn't have to."
"You're going to be fine. I'm a phone call away."
"I know."
"I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too."
They pulled away from each other and Derek ruffled Stiles hair as Stiles climbed into the car and shut the door. Allison walked out of the house and hugged Derek on her way to the car, "Hey Allison, is Stiles okay? I mean with his FTD and stuff?" Allison sighed, "He's starting to forget things. His car keys, his house, the town. He barely remembers my mom.." Derek smiled and hugged Allison, it'll be okay. Allison smiled and nodded. "Yeah everything will be okay." She said as she got in the car. Stiles put a hand on the window and Derek put one on the other side as the car pulled out of the driveway and Derek was left behind.
Stiles settled into his seat and in the mirror at Allison who was busy texting Scott. "So Stiles," his father said, causing Stiles to snap out of his daydream. "Are you excited about going to NYU to see the campus?"
I'd be more excited if Derek was coming with us. "I can't way to see the campus!" Stiles said smiling.
"Honey watch the road!" Victoria Argent said as Sherriff Stilinski swerved back into their lane. "There's too much damn ice on the road! They were supposed to salt it! I'm calling the station.." he said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his cellphone. Stiles looked out the front passenger window and sighed. Why can't my family be normal?
"Johnson? It's Stilinski. You were supposed to call the people and have them come ice the roads, they're terrible, someone could get in a crash!" He said.
"Just like us dad, keep your eyes on the road!" Stiles said. Sherriff Stilinski side eye glared at Stiles and Stiles sighed.
"Only one more hour before our flight." Allison said dryly from the back seat. Stiles leaned his head against the window and closed his eyes. If he didnt look at his family, maybe he wouldn't think about them.
That was the last thing Stiles remembered thinking before he heard the tires squealed. His eyes flew open as Stiles dad slammed on his break and the car came to a screeching halt. The car was silent and Stiles looked over at his father.
"Everyone alright?" Victoria asked from the back seat.
"I think everyone is-" Stiles began before the back of their car was slammed into. Stiles flew forward and was launched out of the windshield.
Then everything went black.

Stiles opened his eyes and he immediately felt the cold winter air. He sat up and looked around, scanning the area around him. What he saw he wasn't expecting. Scattered all over the place were shards of metal from both cars. EMT's were surrounding both cars and Stiles could feel the panic start to seep in. He walked over to his car and tried to look past the EMT's to see his family.
