Jason and Delia went to the college together and they weren't expecting Damien as he needed time off to recover from his injury. "My parents were always so protective. Especially my dad. I just can't believe what Damien was doing for me." "Delia. Damien was doing what he thought was right. He only wanted to keep you safe." "I know. I'll always love him for that, but...don't tell him....I love him." Jason wasn't surprised. "If I'm honest with you, I think he likes you. When he sees you, he gives you this look. It's like, he's really seeing you." "Do you think so?" "I know so." She then smiled as they continued to talk until the bell rang.

Damien was on the sofa and he fell asleep. His father made him comfortable and watched him carefully. Damien had his medication before he began to rest so he would be fine without going dizzy for a while. That's when Damien began to dream.

"Where am I?" "You're with me. Just like I told you while you were asleep." "I'm asleep now, right?" "Indeed. Delia's father had no right to push you." "I just wanted to help her Mum." "You did. She's with Jason and she's perfectly safe. I promise. You'll be with me soon."

Damien woke up two hours later to find his father next to him. "Dad?" "I never left. I'm here. You fell asleep and I didn't want to disturb you. And...you were mumbling in your sleep. Do you want to talk about it?" He just told him. "I saw mum again." He nodded and listened to what his son was saying to him.

After telling his father about the dream, he said, "she told me that I'd be with her soon." "We both will one day." "But...the way she said it...I don't think she meant very soon. I think she said it as in there's not long left to go." His father sighed. "Maybe...I don't know. But maybe she's trying to tell you something." "But what?" That was something for Damien to work out on his own.

Delia was waiting for Jason by the gate when it was time for everyone to go home. He saw her and gave her a wave as he made his way over to her. "Hey," he said as he got to her. "Hi. Are you going to Damien's." "Yeah. Come on. We'll see how he's doing." "I hope he's feeling better than yesterday."

When the two friends got to Damien's house, his father opened the door for them. "Hi guys. Damien is on the sofa." "Thanks mister Samuel," Delia politely said. They walked into the living room and found Damien on the sofa as he laid on his back while he had his glasses on. "He's reading. Sometimes when he reads, you won't get an answer back. You might have to shake his shoulder." They nodded and approached their friend and sat next to him on the floor. "Hi pal." Damien blinked as he continued to read the book he was lost in. So Jason gently shook his friends shoulder. He jumped at the contact. "Sorry. Sometimes I get lost when I'm reading." "It's fine. What are you reading anyway?" "A book about a man wanting to find out what happened to his wife before she was murdered."

They were shocked. "What? I didn't know until I started to read it." "Maybe you should learn to read the blurb on the back before you begin to read it."

A couple of days passed and Damien was walking with Jason and Delia. "So, my dad said that we're visiting my brother tomorrow when I get out of college." "How are you all coping, even with me there?" Delia asked. "We're still taking it rough, but we're still taking it one day at a time. You being with us is taking our minds off of the loss." She held his hand to comfort him and he held her hand firmly over hers. "You know I don't mind, but you being in my brothers room makes it hard. It's still his room." "And it always will be. It's just until I get somewhere that's permanent." Damien then spoke up and asked, "I don't think I need the rest of the week off. I'm fine. Look at me." "Do as you're told for once."
