On the day that Izuku was betrayed by All Might, the moment he got home, he immediately threw everything away he had that was even closely related to All Might. He even ripped out the pages in his notebook that had his signature, not wanting anything to do with the person that called himself a 'hero'. But he still kept the notebooks full of critical information about all kinds of heroes, thinking that it could be useful in future references.
After Shigaraki met him, he told him to get rid of his mother, or at least convince her to move out of town so she can't prevent him from doing 'villainous acts'. It took days of endless begging and convincing before Inko finally agreed to move out of town without her Izuku, despite him being so young. In the end, a lot of tears were shed(mostly from Inko), and Izuku agreed to accept her weekly money and to call her at least once every week. He almost felt proud of himself for being able to deceive his ignorant mother.
That all led up to now, where Izuku stood in front of an old bar with his chest feeling tight. He had a day off from school so he didn't need to worry about that. But that didn't change his current situation. He was going to be living with people that he didn't know except for one. He didn't know if he should feel scared, apprehensive, or excited. In the end, he decided to just keep his guard up and act mildly friendly. After all, 'villains' aren't exactly nice, or at least, don't exactly show much mercy. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door and stepped inside, slightly feeling better to see that Shigaraki was sitting at the counter of the bar, the hand-mask still practically glued to his face. There was a man with obsidian-purple smoke as his head and possibly other parts of his body and he was currently cleaning a small shot glass. Shutting the door, Izuku took note of the old-looking brick walls, the ripped up All Might poster on the far wall, and the TV also on the far wall with the words 'Sound Only'. The stiff air lingered with the faint smell of alcohol and possibly cigarettes, though Izuku wasn't sure.
"Ah, Midoriya, I've been expecting you. Did you take care of your mother?" Shigaraki asked, getting straight to the point.
"I've moved her out of town on the condition that I call her at least once every week," Izuku explained with a nod. Then he glanced at the smokey guy in curiosity. "Do you mind if I ask who this is?"
"Seems that your mother taught you manners well enough. I am Kurogiri, the transportation of the League of Villains." Kurogiri answered in a surprisingly clear voice, letting Izuku respond with another nod. "Shigaraki told me that you're Quirkless, is that true?" Izuku could tell that Tomura shot a sharp glare at the barkeeper through the fingers of his mask. "Not that I doubt his words, I just want to hear it from you."
"Y-Yes, I've been Quirkless my whole life," Izuku answered whilst stuttering, playing with his fingers. "B-Because of that, people b-bullied me and said t-that I was u-useless. Even my own mother didn't believe in m-me..." His words trailed off as his gaze started to wander aimlessly at his surroundings. But his attention was returned to Shigaraki as the man stood from his chair and walked over to him, placing his hand on his shoulder with his middle finger hovering just as before.
"I don't believe you're useless, with or without a Quirk. I believe that if you're determined enough, you'll make the perfect villain." Izuku could feel the man's gaze burning into his skin as he looked up at him. But oddly enough, the fact that Shigaraki believed in him, made his stomach churn in disgust. He thought that he should be overjoyed that someone finally believed in him after all these years but instead, he was disgusted at the fact and wanted to hurl.
So instead of returning Shigaraki's gaze with a smile, Izuku narrowed his eyes and secretly gritted his teeth with his fists clenched.
"Now," Shigaraki started as he removed his hand from the broccoli haired boy. "I think that Kurogiri should show you to your room. It'd be best for you to memorize the way there too." He sat back down as Kurogiri finished cleaning the shot glass and put it away on the shelf. Motioning for Izuku to follow, he opened a door that was located on the far wall behind the counter and entered with Izuku on his heels.
Once they were gone, a deep voice spoke from the TV. "So that's the Quirkless Midoriya you spoke of. He seems rather...timid."
"Maybe. But from what I heard him saying to himself, he hates the hero society and how they define a hero. He'll be useful." Shigaraki informed the voice, turning his head to face the screen.
"Hmm. I think I have the perfect Quirk to give to him. Bring him here after he's settled in. In order for him to enter U.A., he needs to have mastered his Quirk as soon as possible. Not only that, but we must increase his stamina, strength, and teach him how to fight in both hand to hand, and with his Quirk. There's much to be done in the next year." The deep voice commanded in a seemingly hypnotizing tone that would make anyone want to obey.
"Yes, Sensei." Shigaraki answered whilst nodding, understanding that he must fulfill his master's request.
Meanwhile, Izuku was settling into his room as Kurogiri headed back to the bar. He smiled slightly at his surroundings, despite there not being much. There was a small bed in the far corner with green and gray covers and a desk and chair in another corner. There was a small nightstand next to the bed and a large dresser next to the door. He put down his backpack on his new bed, still taking in his new surroundings.
This was Izuku's new home. This was his new family. This was how he was going to take down All Might. This was how he'd change society for the better.
And he loved it.
