I had a lover. We were going to participate in this competition together, but we didn't really prepare properly for it.
On the competition day, it was raining, I got there but my lover wasn't there. I sat in the back row seats which were very high up.
While watching the show I realized that what competitors send in as the audition tape is not to be performed, but a continuation of that tape is supposed to be displayed.
That's when I realized me and my partner were screwed. We wrote down our script on our phones on google docs. We couldn't read off our phones during the competition.
I thought it was embarrassing so I decided to leave in the middle of the competition.

There was this long stretch of pavement, but no cars, if there were any, they were parked.

I still went, because my lover was there.
I told him about the dilemma from the competition. He laughed and I don't really know what happened but we were in love and ditched everyone and everything.
