"I cannot simply say, "You can become a hero even without power.""

All Might, you too?
"I see..."

A green eyed boy gazed blankly through his idol, a mix of grief and shock upon his face.

"If you want to help others, then you could become a police officer." All Might continued, walking for the roof exit. "They're often teased because they get villains delivered to their doorstep, but that is also a fine occupation."

Please...

All Might turned, the boy was unmoving bar his green curly hair caught in the wind.

"It's not bad to dream."

Please...

"But you also have to consider what's realistic, young man."

All Might, Please!

A sudden far-off explosion brought Izuku back to his senses. All Might was gone.

Even if it's what everyone thinks...
Even if a top pro said it...
They're so lucky being born with a quirk...

Rubbing tears from his eyes Izuku jumped as another resounding blast was heard across the city.

"A-A villain!"
"What hero will- " Izuku trailed off looking at the floor.

No...
I need power to become a hero.
That's what All Might said.

Izuku ran off barreling down the stairs.

All Might didn't say I needed a quirk, he just said I needed power

A wide smile stretched across Izuku's face as he left the building

A breathless and excited Izuku Midoriya shot up the stairs to his room straight past his mother.

"I'm home!"

Inko Midoriya preoccupied on the phone was shaken. It would take a lot for Mitsuki Bakugo, her best friend, to be panicked like this.

"Mitsuki slow down. What's going on? Katsuki? What!?"

Izuku somewhat preoccupied himself, energetically scrambled around his room, unaware of the events he had missed.

Paper, paper, paper, paper.

Izuku set up at his desk quickly looking up to smile back at the All Might poster in front of his desk.

"Time to get cracking."

Immediately Izuku started to scribble all over the papers he had found, meticulously planning and preparing for the tasks ahead.

The UA exam is divided into a practical and written test, with the practical giving more marks, both will be difficult but due to the difference in weighting I need to focus more on my body and compensating for my lack of a quirk.

After a while a calendar filled with activities now stood on his wall, alongside it multiple pieces of paper were tapped explaining the words found on the calendar. Work, Study, upper-body and quirk were some of the constantly repeated words highlighted on the calendar with each also having a respective sheet of paper.

"I need to think of a way to emulate a quirk. An Emitter type quirk would be easier to replicate. But what do I want it to be? Electricity? Fire? What is possible? What can I realistically achieve?" Izuku continued his constant mumble, sketching out plans and ideas.
