Three years on from when the villagers left the village to find sanctuary on the mountain and the men left to fight for their home. The men hadn't come back in such a long time. The villagers would send the oldest boys down to fight but no one had ever come back. The families of the fallen men had received messages from the spirit animals of their demised. But as the long nights came and the people left alive feared for their safety as their days fell shorter and the nights went longer. Some of the children have been left scared and depressed as they miss their fathers and brothers.

"We need to advice a plan to defeat the demons." Anya said as the seven young adults sat around the tree planing for war. "We not only need to get rid of the ice-bloods but all of the demons." Oskar said as he crafted his arrows. "I think I have an idea but this needs to stay a secret among just us seven!" Cylus said as he looked around for any standbys. "What is it?" Rebekah said as she looked at Cylus with a concern look on her face. "I believe that if we capture seven demons and drain their blood. Bring forth our spirit animals and cut down a branch of this tree and combine them together into a concoction then place our crystal necklaces into the concoction. We gain the abilities and strength of the demons so we can fight them!" Cylus said as he watched all his friends faces change to fear and concern expressions. "But thats dangerous and completely stupid!" Gamora said as she looked at Cylus with shock. "Well of course it's going to dangerous. It's dealing with demons but I have a plan that can tame their darkness." Cylus said as he stared at his friends faces. "We capture an animal or creature that has a special ability to the elements of Gaia." Cylus explained. "Like someone could find a fish for water element, and someone finds a ground hog or a mole for earth element. And someone finds a bird for air and a Phoenix for fire!" Cylus said as he tried to make sense. "But what about the other two elements like light and darkness?" Lief said as he gave a strange look towards Cylus. "Well that's where the spirits and demons come in!" Cylus said. "Well it kinda makes sense! We should at least try!" Varg said as he agreed with Cylus' plan. "I agree as well. What's the worst that could happen!" Anya said as she nodded her head. "Do we all agree because we can't do it without all seven of us!" Cylus said as he looked at Rebekah, Oskar, Lief and Gamora. "Fine! But we are going to need the help of the ancestors to capture the demons and the animals!" Rebekah said as she stood up. "So your in?" Cylus asked. "Sure." Rebekah responded. "Fine were in to!" Oskar said as he got up too. "We are?" Gamora said as she looked up at Oskar "you heard him. He can't do it without us." Oskar said as he looked at Gamora. "Fine I'm in too." Lief said as he got up. "You all are crazy. But your going to need help!" Gamora said as she stood up . "So we agree that we are doing this?" Cylus asked as he stood up. "Yes!" They all said at the same time. "Good we have until the eclipse which is in two weeks time!" Cylus said as he started to walk away slowly. "So go capture your animals before then and we will capture the demons together!" Cylus said as he walked away getting farther away from the group.

During the next two weeks the seven children lured in the animals they wanted to have as their elements. Lief decided to capture a stag just like his spirit animal. Anya was able to capture an wedge-tail eagle. Rebekah lured in a sea turtle. Oskar found a bear just like his spirit. Gamora found a glow worm in a cave. Cylus was able to summon a Phoenix which came out of the sky in a giant fireball. Varg had captured a black python. They then put the animals to sleep using herbs they grinned up which made the animals sleep for a couple of days. If they did wake up the children made sure they wouldn't attack each other or anyone by locking them in cages and boxes. The children then asked the ancestors for permission to summon seven different types of demons but for them to arrive at the village by the day of the solar eclipse. The ancestors were furious about what they asked for until the children explained what they were going to do and the ancestors suggested they be apart of the spell. The ancestors also gave the children a transcript of what they should do to gain the power of the demons so that it can last forever. The children of course accepted it.
