"Cylus honey! Are you ready for the biggest day of your childhood?" An rather middle aged woman said as she lights a small bonfire in the middle of the hut using just straw and two dry stones. "Yes mamma! I can't wait! I hope I have the spirit of a strong and brave animal. Like a bear or a wolf. Or even have the spirit of mountain lion like you!" Cylus replied as he sat down in front of the bonfire while placing little flakes of dry bark on top of the straw. "Well as long as you accept the beautiful spirit that comes to you then you will know only true strength." Cylus' mother said with a smile on her face as the sparks from the rock ignite into a flame on the straw and bark. "Your right Mamma!" Cylus said as he raised his hands to the flame to keep them warm. "Hopefully your father comes back soon with some food from his hunt. Then we can eat before the ceremony." Cylus' mother said as she pulls herself up off the ground to grab the vegetables to start cutting them up. "Hopefully he was able to catch a fox or a rabbit! Because I love someone some fox and rabbit!" Cylus said as he gets up to help his mother.

Suddenly the door to the hut slams open. "Cylus can you come give me a hand?" A dark hooded figure said with a deep voice. "Of course father. Did you catch something rather big?" Cylus asks the hooded figure. "Sure did son!" The hooded figure said as he tries to pull the dead creature through the door opening. "Wow a stag!" Cylus said as he jumped with joy. "Yeah son happy tenth name day!" Cylus' father said as he removes the hood off his head revealing his red bushy hair and ginger beard. "Thanks papa!" Cylus said with a massive smile on his face. Cylus grabs hold of the stage back legs and lifts up the body with his father. His mother clears the table and perps the knives so they can cut open the beast and butcher it for a weeks worth of food.
"It's nearly time for us to go we should go get ready. Cylus go take a bath and put on your ceremonial clothes." Cylus' mother said as she threw salt over the dead animal meat. Cylus then went outside and ran down to the lake for his bath.

"Dear ancestors, please bring only protection and strength to me as I take what mother Gaia has given me and in return I shall bless my people with my own strength and knowledge!" Cylus preys as he checks the water for any harmful creatures that linger. Then Cylus' father comes down and undresses himself for his bath too. "I'll protect you Cylus. A man shall not know fear as long as we trust our spirits and ancestors!" Cylus' father said as he walked into the water. "Ok father" Cylus said as he got up from his preying stands and walks into the water. "So what animal are you hoping to have as your spirit?" Cylus' father asked as he pours a hand full of water over Cylus' head. "I hope I have an animal that has strength and intelligence. Or even just a jaguar like you!" Cylus said as he looked up at his father. Cylus loved knowing that his father cared for him more then anything and he loved it more then anything because not many of the other children had that because their fathers were either away hunting or too tough on them that there was just no love seen. "Well as long as you expect the animal and it expects you too!" Cylus' father said as he rubbed his sons head. "Come on your mother will be waiting for us." Cylus' father said as he started walking out of the water. "Coming!" Cylus replied as he slowly got out of the water.

Suddenly there was movement in the water close by. "Cylus! Quickly now!" Cylus' father screamed as he noticed the water rushing towards Cylus. "Run Cylus!" His father yelled again as he picked up the sword that was on his shirt. Suddenly as giant sea serpent with giant sharp teeth and big red beating eyes and blue and black scaly skin lurched out of the water. "Ahhh!" Cylus screamed "the demons are here!" A villager nearby screamed as they grabbed a bow and a few arrows and started running toward Cylus and his father. " get your boy! I'll cover you!" The villager yelled as he started shooting arrows at the serpent. He hits the serpent in the eye causing it to get angry. "Oh my god that's my boy!" Cylus' mother screamed as she ran out of their hut. A few more villagers ran over to see why people were screaming. "Everyone grab your bows we must shoot the beast!" The chief of the village said as he pulls back the string on his bow. Suddenly there was twenty arrows fired at the giant beast all hitting it at once. "Hissssssssss!" A loud hiss came out from the beast as the arrows collided with it's body. Cylus' father picks him up and runs out of the water while more arrows are being fired at the serpent. Then all off a sudden a giant ball of light comes out of the sky and hits the beast to the ground causing the serpent to catch on fire. "Ahhhhhhh!" The serpent screamed as it burned alive. "Ahhhhh!" It screamed even louder. "Yay!" Everyone cheered as the serpent burned. "Thank you ancestors and noble spirits! Thank you for save my sons life!" Cylus' mother cried out as she hugged her boy with all her strength.
