i accidentally wrote this chapter in lowercase because of my other books,, ignore it please lmfaO.
i laid in my bed, not on my phone or anything. i woke up with a pretty bad headache and i was confused on where jack and i stood. we were never even officially dating, but we probably would have been soon.
there was a small knock on my door and hayes peeked in. "wanna talk?" i sighed and motioned for him to come in. he shut the door before sitting down on my bed. "what happened?"
"well, i tried to ask him about stuff with madison but it turned into a big ass fight," he nodded. "neither of us know what's going on but he told me to call him when i 'change my mind'. whatever that means."
"so, you don't know if you're together or not?"
i nodded, rubbing my eyes. i looked up at him, upset. he pursed his lips together, pulling me into a hug. "if you need anything i'm-"
my door pushed open and i moved away, looking to see jack in the doorway. my lips parted as he furrowed his eyebrows, looking at hayes.
"what the fuck are you doing in here?" jack asked annoyed, staring at hayes. hayes stood up, crossing his arms.
"i guess i should ask you the same thing." jack and him got closer. "here to see my girl." "really? i thought she broke up with you yesterday."
jack got noticeably angry, his whole body stiffening. "you're just mad she ended up with me."
"yeah, maybe," hayes shrugged with a smile. "but don't act like i couldn't take her back-"
jack cut hayes off by jawing him. hayes stumbled back while jacks fist was still clenched. "oh my god!" i yelled, getting off the bed.
i went to hayes, looking at his jaw. "i'm fine." he spat, glaring at jack before walking out of my room.
"are you kidding?" i glared at him, crossing my arm. his eyes widened and his fixed his hair. "i didn't mean-" "yeah, i'm sure."
"kris, i came here to apologize," he frowned. "i'm sorry, okay? for every fucking thing i said yesterday."
i furrowed my eyebrows, not looking away from him. "you just jawed hayes."
"i'll make up for it-"
"give me some time," i sighed, knowing how much i cared for him. "please."
jack nodded, wrapping his arms around me. i sighed, realizing as i ran my fingers through his hair. "look, you should probably go for now. i have to deal with everything."
"yeah, i get it." he nodded, pulling away. i quickly leaned up, kissing the corner of his lips, before he walk out.
when i sat down on the bed, hayes cleared his throat walking back in. "are you serious?"
"what are you talking about?" i sighed, not wanting to get into things.
"he just punched me in the fucking jaw and you're still with him?" he stood in front of me. "my god."
i motioned for him to sit down; which he did. "seriously, what does he have that i don't?" i know he was aggravated but all i could do was watch his pretty, pink lips move.
"are you listening? i'm asking a serious question-" i cut him off, connecting my lips to his. he kissed back in shock, shutting his eyes.
i pulled away with pink cheeks. "i'm- i'm sorry," hayes smiled wide. "i don't know- i just- i-"
"do you miss us?" he asked bluntly, watching my lips instead.
"yes."
