-Toni POV-
Today, I decided to take Cheryl out on a date. We haven't had an official first date, so I decided that we should have our first date. I told her that she should wear something nice and be ready at six. I wouldn't tell her where the date was, but I was excited. I could tell that Cheryl was dying to know what my plans were for the night. Throughout the day she would ask me for hints about where we were going and I would shrug and give her a smile. At one point, she started asking me every ten minutes about the date, so I popped in a movie to keep her mind off of the date. She laid her head on my shoulder and fell asleep. I stroked her hair and planted a kiss on her forehead. Once the movie was over, I checked the time. It was 5:20. I slowly got up and started getting things ready for the date. I put on a dark blue skater dress with a black belt and some white converse. At 5:40, I woke up Cheryl. "Hey sweetie, our date is in 20 minutes. You might want to start getting ready." Cheryl smiled and slowly opened her eyes, "okay." She got up and headed to her room to change. As Cheryl got changed, I put everything for the date in my car and then waited for Cheryl. Not too long after, I heard a door squeak. Cheryl came out in a lacy black top dress with a red bottom that flowed below her knees. I could feel my jaw drop as I looked down and saw her in black heels. She looked gorgeous. "Wow. You look-" I started to say. "Amazing? I know." Cheryl cut in. "Actually," I started saying, "I was going to say gorgeous... but whatever floats your boat." Cheryl blushed as I took her hand and we headed towards my car. I opened the door for her as she got in and closed it behind her. "Who knew Toni Topaz was such a lady." Cheryl remarked with a laugh. I giggled and shrugged as we headed off to our date. During the car ride, Cheryl would point out places and ask me if we were going there. I shook my head until she finally guessed right. We stopped at a restaurant that was an average size but looked like a logged cabin. I parked the car and Cheryl and I got out of the car. I took her hand and we headed inside. "Reservation under Topaz for 6:15 please." I said with a smile to the host. The host nodded and waiter came to bring us to our seats. He lead us to a two person table with a candle in the middle. We ordered drinks and he gave us our menus. The waiter left as Cheryl and I flipped through our menus. Cheryl smiled and closed hers after a minute. "You already know what you want?" I asked with a laugh. She giggled, "I know that I probably should've picked out something more expensive, but I kind of just want a chicken parmigiana pasta." I laughed and shook my head. "Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl, you are a dork." I said. "What are you getting?" She asked I flipped through the menu. "I think I'm going to get some crab legs." I said with a smile. Cheryl nodded, "I might sneak a bite or two." I giggled and set my hand on the table. Cheryl slowly rested her hand on mine and gave it a little rub. "Thank you, for this." She said. I nodded, "it's a pleasure." The waiter came back out shortly and we ordered our food. "Toni, do you ever miss your family?" Cheryl asked. I shrugged, "if they can't keep me in their own home, I don't think I need them. You are my family now, Cheryl." I smiled and she smiled back. "What about you? Do you ever wish things would've been different?" I asked. "Of course I do. JJ was my best friend and my father ruined that. He ruined our family. I'm fine without him or my mother, I just wish JJ didn't have to die for our family to screw up." I nodded, "I heard how close you two were, I'm sorry." Cheryl let out a small grin. "It was hard, but without all the hardships, I don't think I'd be here with you right now." She rubbed my hand as I saw her eyes sparkle. Our food came out and we started to eat. Cheryl took her fork and 'snuck' a bite of my crab. I giggled as she winked at me. "Dork," I said. We finished up our meals and I took out my wallet to pay. "I can pay," Cheryl offered. I shook my head, "no, it's my treat." After I finished paying we headed back out to the car and I started to drive to another destination. "Wait, where are we going?" Cheryl asked. "It's a surprise." I told her. After about five minutes of driving, I pulled into a field and parked the car. I grabbed a basket and blanket from the trunk and opened the door for Cheryl. We walked out to a hill and I set down the blanket. We sat down and I opened the basket. "I bought us some cupcakes early today, I thought it'd be nice to just look at the stars together too." I told Cheryl. "It's wonderful." We both grabbed out a cupcake and Cheryl wrapped her arm around me. "This has been the perfect first official date." She said. I smiled, "it really has." We ate our cupcakes and looked into the sky. Cheryl then slowly removed her arm from around me and laid down sideways. I decided to lay down too, looking right back at her. "I love you, Toni." She said. I blushed, "I love you too." We shared a kiss and not long after, we were asleep, under the stars.
