-Cheryl POV-
The next night, I picked up Toni from her house. It was finally the night of the dance and I couldn't wait to spend the night with Toni. We had already arranged to stay overnight at her house after the dance so I wouldn't have my mother give me a long argument on why it was bad to take a girl as my date to the dance. Once I got to Toni's house, I stopped the car and grabbed all my things for staying overnight and walked up to her front door. "Hey," I said as the door opened, "Mind if I just left this here right away?" I asked, looking at my bag. Toni smiled, "Of course. Follow me." She said as we made our way to her room. I set my bag down on her bed and looked at Toni. She was wearing a violet dress that ended just below her knees and it had a black belt with a violet flower to add on to the dress.
"Wow, you look... amazing." I complimented her. Toni blushed and tucked a strand of her hair behind her hair. "Thank you, but I could never compare to you. You look beautiful." Toni said with a wink. I felt butterflies in my stomach and I could feel my face getting warmer by the second. "T-thank you." I responded with a smile. Toni took my hand and led us back outside to my car. "So when did you start driving? I thought Kev was taking us." Toni asked with curiosity. "I've had my license for a while, but I finally had enough money to buy a car." I told her. Toni smiled, "It's very nice. Now let's get to the dance!" She said with excitement clearly in her voice. Toni looked at me with her sparkling eyes as I drove us to the dance.
When we got to the dance, I handed our tickets to the chaperone at the doors and we entered the school. I looked at Toni and took a big breathe. There were a lot more people that attended this school than I remember. Toni took my hand and smiled, "Don't worry about them. If they can't accept us, who cares? It's not our fault or your fault. It's their fault. Now we're going to go in there and own it. I know for a fact that you, Cheryl Blossom, are the best at owning it." I smiled and nodded. "You always know how to make everything better." I said as we took hands and entered the gymnasium.
-Toni POV-
When we went into the gymnasium, of course, a few people looked at us weird. I expected that to happen, but an upbeat song was on so I decided Cheryl and I would take the dance floor. I took her onto the floor and we danced and sang along to a few songs before Cheryl spoke up. "Tons, do you want some punch?" She asked. "Sure, that'd be great!" I responded as we headed off of the dance floor and over to the snack table. We each poured ourselves a cup of punch and sat down at a table. "I'm having a wonderful night with you, Cheryl." I said with a smile appearing across my face. Cheryl blushed and nodded, "Me too." She took a sip of her punch and smirked.
We heard a slow song come on and I stood up. "May I have this dance, Cheryl Blossom?" Cheryl stood up and smiled, "I'd be delighted." I took her hand and we went back out to the dance floor and I put my arms around her shoulders and Cheryl put her arms around my waist. We swayed back and forth as the music played. "I'm so glad we met each other, even if we hated each other, it all changed and I'm so grateful to be at this dance with you." I told Cheryl. "I wouldn't have it any other way. You're amazing and I can't imagine going with anyone else." She responded. We slowly stopped dancing and we leaned forward and our lips connected.
A/N: Just curious, who's top and who's bottom(choni)? And I want to write a fanfic based off of "Love, Simon" called "Love, Cheryl" would anyone read it?
