My eyes snapped open as I hear a loud "smack" from my hand hitting something. Glancing to my right, my eyes went wide as I took in the scene. My right arm was outstretched and my hand laid directly on Owen's face. I tried to retract my arm but Owen quickly grabbed it then opened his eyes slowly.
A sheepish smile made it's way on my lips as his head slowly turned to face me. "Sorry." He released my hand and sighed. "It's all good, I'm used to it by now." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
He chuckled before he spoke. "Between the constant kicks in my side all night, that was nothing." My face instantly heated up. I knew I was a wild sleeper, I wish I would've thought of that before I invited him to sleep with me last night. "It's really no a big deal. I found it quite humorous, to be honest." In an attempt to make me feel better, my face began heating up even more.
I turned over and rested my head on my pillow as I placed both of my hands over my face, trying to hide from embarrassment. I watched him from the corner of my eyes as he slowly removed my hands from my face. I sighed then but my bottom lip to quit from smiling. "What time is it?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"Noon." My eyes went wide before I quickly sat up. "Owen! I have so much to do." He rolled his eyes then pushed me back down onto the bed. "Like what?"
"I was supposed to meet Carter for training hours ago and not to mention the tons of homework I have due on Monday!" He shook his head and sighed. "I already talked to Carter and rescheduled it to this evening. As for your homework, you have all weekend to get it done, stop stressing yourself out." Running my hand over my face, I nodded in agreement.
"When you're ready, get dressed." He said as he sat up then threw his legs over the bed. "What do you have planned?" I eyed him suspiciously, his back facing me as he sat on the edge of the bed running his hands through his hair.
He glanced over his right shoulder. "We're going to get lunch first and then we're going to figure out this whole medicine issue." I brought my knees to my chest, nervousness creeping its ugly head around the corner. "Okay." I muttered out.
A few minutes after Owen left my room, I got up and made my way to my bathroom. The only thing keeping my paranoia at bay was the music coming from my phone as I washed my face and brushed my teeth. Due to the cold weather, I brushed the tangles out and kept it down.
I put on a plain t-shirt then threw a tan jacket over it and pulled on some thick black leggings. After tying the laces on my boots, I got up from my bed and walked out of my room.
Owen sat on the couch in the living room flipping through channels. He stood to his feet as soon as I entered and turned off the tv. "You ready?" I nodded before he walked towards me and grabbed my hand, leading us out of the living room.
"What do you have a taste for." I glanced off into the distance as I thought about my answer. "Um..." The sound of cabinets closing in the kitchen had me moving closer to Owen. I felt his eyes on me as I stared down at my feet.
"Parmus?" My head snapped up, eyes meeting his. "Oh sorry, I can't think of anything specific." He nodded but stayed silent.
The car ride was long. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion once we crossed pack territory but didn't say anything. My eyes were casted out the window as my fingers thudded against door's armrest, going along with John Mayer's song New Light.
I was a little surprised when Owen handed me the aux cord, but I didn't question it. I'd never give up a chance to listen to music. "How's your car running?"
