I had thrown up 2 times throughout the night, it was enough to make me not want to drink ever again. Esther's mom tried to get me to stay for breakfast but I wanted nothing more than to lay in my own bed. I was exhausted and the fact that I was up at 7 in the morning after the night I had was beyond me.

I closed my car door then walked into the pack house. Going up the steps, I heard distinct voices in the distance. I raked my hands through my tangled hair in case I ran into anyone. I hadn't even taken the time to brush my hair out this morning so I knew it looked a mess.

I opened the double doors to Owen and I's section of the house and was instantly hit with the smell of food. My stomach growled on command. The voices became louder as I realized they were coming from the kitchen.

Okay Parmus just go to your room, no need to put yourself on the spot.

"Parmus!" I froze as Nara ran in my direction. She pulled me into a tight hug. I rubbed her back and sighed.

"Come eat with us."

Before I could answer she grabbed my hand and pulled me into the kitchen.

Cute little rascal was going to end up getting me in a bind.

Titus, Brinn, and Owen sat comfortably around the table. Nara took a seat in between her parents, while I lagged behind, dreading what was to come

How are you goig to get yourself out of this one Parmus?

"Hey girl, you look like you just rolled out of bed." Brinn said followed with a laugh. I smiled, not showing teeth. I knew not to take it personally because it easy simply just her personality I had began to realize.

I placed my hand on the edge of the table with a sigh. "I did." I said dryly.

I realized how rude my words were when all of their faces turned serious. My hand ran over my face as I shook my head. "Sorry, rough night. And my head is killing me." Her next world made me realize I probably shouldn't have chosen those exact words.

"Haha hungover huh? We've all been there before." Brinn said as she stood and walked toward the pantry.

Silence.

Well this is awkward.

My cheeks turned red with embarrassment as Owen glared in my direction. "What happened to hanging out at at Esther's house? Why did you lie to me Parmus?"

I mean if we're being technical here, I did hangout at Esther's before the party...

This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. "I-I didn't lie, I just withheld some information...?" It came out more as a question as I wasn't sure if I actually did lie.

"Give her a break dude, she's still young." Brinn said in my defense as she handed me ibuprofen and some water. I was grateful for Brinn intervening, it game me time to think and didn't make me feel too bad.

Titus stayed quiet but shook his head in disapproval, showing his stance in the matter. He probably thought horrible of me, or he just always looked that way. Maybe they were both true.

"So what kind of party did you go to?" My eyes widened as Brinn egged me on. I don't know what her aim was but it kind of seemed like she was trying to get me caught up. Brinn was all over the place and just confused me if I'm being honest.
