There he was, Lee Taemin. He was the lead dancer in my schools dance team and one of the members of the schools popular group, SHINee, along with his friends Choi Minho, Lee JinKi (Onew), Kim Jonghyun, and my best friend Kim Kibeom (Key).
Key has been my best friend ever since he helped me get back at this one girl who was bullying me in elementary school. I remember how he went all diva on her and made her cry.
I smiled at the memory until someone snapped their fingers in my face. "Hello? Ms. _______? Are you listening? I told you to find a partner." The dance teacher, Mr. Eric said motioning to the other students who were busy finding a partner.
Snapping out of my daze, I bowed in apology before looking around for anyone. As usual, Taemin was surrounded by girls who wanted him. Of course I did too, but I would never admit that to anyone except for Key since he was my best friend.
I looked around for one of my friends only to find they all had already partnered up with someone else. I shot them glares until I felt a tap on my shoulder.
Turning around, I found one of Taemin's friends, Kim Jongin AKA Kai. "Hi, ______, I noticed you don't have a partner and neither do I, so I was thinking maybe we could be partners?"
I had to admit even though I had really wanted to find Taemin when I turned around, like in one of those movies where he asks me to be his partner and we fall in love, I was happy to find Kai. He is one of the best dancers in the class along with Taemin of course, so I knew I wouldnt have to do whatever we were doing all by myself.
Nodding, I let Kai lead me to a part of the gym where there was enough room before listening to Mr Eric.
"Ok, you and your partner will need to show a dance routine, it can be one you cover or one you created on your own. You will have until Thursday to practice before you perform in front of the class on Friday. Got it? Ok you have the rest of the class period to plan it out."
Thinking it over I looked back at Kai. "So what do you want to do sunbae?" I asked, scanning the room, my eyes unconsciously landed on Taemin before I adverted my eyes back to Kai.
"I dont really know. Is there a dance type we both know? We should start from there." "Well, I used to take ballet when I was younger but I havent tried it in a while." I said, messing with the rings on my fingers.
"Oh you took ballet? I did too. Great we can perform a ballet dance together!" Kai said, before hugging me. Pulling away, I looked around to see if anyone saw that, finding only Taemin and Key looking.
Since I only glanced at him, I couldnt tell what Taemin was thinking. Key on the other hand, was giving me a thumbs-up, pointing from me to Taemin and then from me to Kai doing heart shapes with his hands.
Smiling at his dorkiness, I turned back to Kai. "So when and where do you want to practice?" I asked, tilting my head up a little so I could see his face.
"Umm we can start after school at my house I have a dance studio in my basement we can practice in. If your parents are ok with you coming to my house since we just started talking today." Kai said, smiling. "Yeah, they dont really care what I do just as long as my grades stay at an A average."
"Good, then i'll meet you after school so we can walk to my house. Oh and my friend might be over there, just a warning." Kai said, before ruffling my hair, grabbing his stuff and walking out, since the bell had rung.
Fixing my hair and grabbing my things, I walked out and headed to my next class, completely unaware that a certain male had been watching me and Kai, with a firey jealously.
*TIME SKIP TO THE END OF THE DAY*
As I was walking to the front gates, I felt someone put their arm around my shoulder making me jump.
