Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
Jimin watched as the little droplets fell out of the faucet before he turned it on fully. As the bathtub began filling up Jimin took the lighter and flicked it on before he placed the tiny yet mighty flame at the edge of te last letter he had from his now ex-girlfriend. The letter contained the reasons why his girlfriend was breaking up with him.

The vibration from his phone caught Jimin's attention for a few seconds but the male turned his attention back to the burning paper in his grasp. Once the fire reached his fingertips Jimin dropped it on his tile floor before leaning back against the rim of the filling tub.

I fumbled with the bottom of my sweater as I made my way to Jimin's front door. I had tried calling and as his best friend I got nervous when he didn't answer.

Opening the door with the spare key I felt my heartbeat pick up as I was greeted with silent darkness. I took another step inside to take off my shoes and as I was about to turn the much needed light on the sound of water splashing reached my ears. Jimin's screams followed and before I knew it my legs were pushing me up the stairs.

A new wave of terror shot through my body as I felt something wet soak my sock in the same instant the splashing ceased to nothing. I opened the door right as Jimin's head disappeared under the water's surface.

Ten minutes.

If I had followed the pattern of waiting 10 minutes after each unanswered call or text I would have lost my best friend.

Ten minutes later I would have lost my first and only love.

Rushing over and abandoning all judgements I pulled Jimin out of the frigid water to sit him next to the tub. I grabbed a nearby towel and wrapped it around him as I noted the far away look in his eyes. The foggy gaze stayed as I quickly ran out to get a change of clothes for him, the water still lapping out over the rim as if it didn't want to let the already drenched boy go.

Running back in, my eyes never left the shivering boy as I shut the faucet off and sat in front of him. I didn't know what to do so I took a motherly tone in my voice when I spoke to him. "Jimin come here. Lets move so you can dry off."

No response.

I shook off my nerves as I helped him over to sit of lid of the toilet.

I removed the wet towel from him and dropped it to the floor. My only focus was on making sure Jimin was ok so I didn't hesitate to get the soaked tank top off of his person.

As I grabbed the dry t-shirt and pulled it over his head I noticed the distant and blank expression had vanished from Jimin's features and he had lifted his brown orbs to look at me.

I had leaned back to allow the male room to slip his arms through the sleeves so when I was suddenly pulled closer, my face being placed, surprisingly, gently against the soft and dry fabric covering his chest, the only thing I could do was wrap my arms around his waist.

"I need you girl."

Even though I was in between his legs, his shorts soaking into my sweater, I couldn't help but to dwell in this moment. I smiled and gently tightened my grip around his waist as his clothes that were covered with his cologue filled my lungs with his scent. I released the breath i didn't know i was holding when Jimin kissed the top of my head. "I need you too. Don't you dare leave me alone."
