"Higher Charlie, I know you can do better than that!" I groaned and stretched my fingers to reach the rock above me on the rock wall that seemed to have no end. Let me backtrack for a second. My name is Charlotte (Charlie) Davenport and I'm fourteen years old. I look exactly like the picture you see above by the way. Right now I'm with my coach at this rock wall gym I go to. My mom said it'd be a good way to make friends but I'm actually the only one who takes this class so my only friend is my coach. He's cool, he gives me cupcakes on the holidays and drives me to and from practice when my mom and dad are at work. His name's Zach Turner, but I just call him Coach Z. Anyway, my life was pretty normal. Until the day that a star spangled man with a plan walked into the gym.

"Nice Charlie! Great job!" I smiled and looked down to see Coach Z smiling at me. Beside him was a guy who looked strangely familiar, it was probably just a guy who I'd seen around the gym. Rolling my shoulders, I gripped the rock I was holding before pushing off backwards, somersaulting in midair and grabbing a rope that I slid all the way down to the ground. I probably should have mentioned that I don't climb with a harness. Makes it easier to get down. I finally arrived at the ground and saw the familiar guy looking at me in shock.

"You could have died!" he exclaimed.

"Who, Charlie? Are you kidding, this kid's immortal!" I grinned and gave Z a high five as he finished his speech. "Anyway, Charlie this is Captain Steve Rogers. He's going to be with us for a few days to prepare for a mission." My eyes widened.

"This is so cool!" I said excitedly.

"It's not that cool." Captain Rogers said with a smile.

"So Charlie, I want you to show him the ropes. Go through the motions, have him do the drills you do." I nodded in understanding and motioned for him to follow me. I led him to the base of a wall and watched in amusement as he looked up and saw how tall it was.

"Coach said to show you the drills I do, so you're doing this freehand. Once we reach the top, you'll flip off, grab that rope," I pointed to the one I had just slid down "and then we'll do some stretches." As soon as I said go he was gone, tearing up the wall with me close behind. It looked like he was going to reach the top first, but I stopped and used my momentum to catapult myself forward and touched the top first. Flipping off, I didn't even bother with the rope and just kept pushing myself off the wall as I went down. Captain Rogers landed next to me as soon as I reached the ground. "Not bad." I said with a smile.

"Not bad yourself." he replied. I blushed and crossed my arms nervously.

"Thank you Captain Rogers." I said quietly.

"Call me Steve."
