TW: Uhm, Roman cutting his tongue out? Still angst.

Am I not pretty enough

Roman was arguing with Virgil. "Stop thinking you're so handsome, because you aren't!" Virgil yelled. Roman felt a pang in his heart. 'Am I ugly?' He thought to himself.

Is my heart too broken?

Do I cry too much?

Roman was sobbing loudly. "SHUT UP ROMAN, YOU'RE SO ANNOYING" Logan yelled from his room. 'Am I seriously that bad?'

Am I too outspoken?

Don't I make you laugh?

Patton glared at Roman after the prince had made a joke. "That wasn't funny Roman. Seriously, just don't bother with it" he stated, leaving the Prince alone. 'Should I not talk and be more sensible?'

Should I try it harder?

Why do you see right through me?

Roman was determined to be seen. "Hey everyone," he yelled. They all ignored him. "Um, guys?" He tries again. "Hey Virgil, Logan. Want to watch a movie?" Patton asks the other two, who both nodded in response. Roman was hurt.

'I just wanted to be seen. I'm sorry guys.' Roman thought as he cut his own tongue out. Now no one would suffer his loud insufferable voice.

Logan was first to notice the silence. He would see Roman sit alone, not opening his mouth or singing. It worried him greatly. "Roman, are you ok?" He asked the Prince. Roman nodded, unable to speak. Logan had a worried look in his eyes. Roman was never this quiet. "Roman, you've never been this quiet" he stated, really worried. Roman wanted to yell. He wanted to sob. He wanted to sing and be loud. But he had stopped it. He'd never talk again. Roman just waved it off, putting his fake smile on.

Patton noticed next. He was passing Romans room, and heard silence. He poked his head and saw Roman silently crying. "Hey kiddo, wanna tell me your troubles?" he asked, coming in. Roman shook his head, looking away. Patton got more worried. "Don't you wanna speak to me?" he asked. Roman shook his head and didn't face Patton. Patton got up and left. "Just call if you need anything," he softly smiled leaving. Roman just waved. That hurt Patton, he missed the Prince characters voice.

Virgil noticed last, him finding out what was happening. He saw Roman watching a Disney movie, not singing any of the lyrics on the screen. He saw the blank look in Romans eyes, and all the pain it hid. "Hey Princey, why you so quiet?" he asked, genuinely worried. Roman looked over, terrified. What if Virgil found out? What would he say? Roman went to leave, but Virgil stopped him in. "Tell me what's going on" he demanded. Roman just smiled and grabbed paper and pen. "I can't" he wrote. Virgil was confused. "What did you do!?" He demanded. "You don't get it. I literally can't. I cut my tongue off so none of you suffered my voice. I did this for you all" he wrote down. When Virgil read his eyes widened. "Princey.....open your mouth," he demanded. Roman did so and Virgil cried out. What had he and the others done?! Patton and Logan ran in and saw Virgil in tears and Roman standing there silent. Logan grabbed the paper and read it. "Roman.....this is a joke right" he choked out. Roman shook his head and looked down. Patton also read it and cried. "Roman, I miss your voice! I'm sorry" Patton sobbed. Roman was shocked. "Roman......I'm sorry" Logan managed. "Stop! I did this for you. You're making me regret my choice!" Roman wrote. He was crying now as well. They treated him horribly! He can't forgive them. "Ro, We need you," Virgil managed. Roman refused to believe him. Instead, he left to his room. 

He wasn't pretty enough, and he accepted that.
