As Levi drifted in and out of sleep, Hanji and Erwin took turns watching him. They were waiting for him to mutter again; maybe he would inform them of Sakura's location. After a few hours of hearing Levi mutter meaninglessly, they decided to give up and just let him recover. They will ask for answers once Levi is well enough to give them.
As they exited the infirmary, they heard the creaking of the gate being opened.
"Oi!", yelled Erwin. "Why are you opening the gate without permission?"
"Sir!", yelled the cadet "It's Lance Corporal Sakura!"
Relief filled their hearts as Erwin and Hanji ran to the gate to welcome Sakura.
"Don't touch me I'm fine!", yelled Sakura at the cadet who rushed to check her for wounds.
"Sakura!",called Erwin "You sent Levi back here on your horse? That was a really smart move. Good job! However, at the same time, it's probably the stupidest thing you've ever done! We were worried sick something had happened to you!"
"I'm fine, Erwin. Where's Levi?", asked Sakura impatiently.
"Sakura... he still hasn't woken up...", said Hanji apologetically.
Sakura's usually calm face was now tormented by worry and panic. "Where?", she begged "Where is he?"
Hanji and Erwin stared at the ground, only making Sakura more infuriated.
"Levi! Levi! Answer me! Where are you? Levi!", she shrieked helplessly, looking frantically around her.
"Sakura!"
Sakura thought she heard the faintest sound. It seemed like someone was calling her from afar. She strained her ears and froze.
"Sakura!", yelled back the voice.
Suddenly, the infirmary door burst open, revealing 2 nurses trying to restrain a weak yet furious Levi.
"Let me go dammit! Let me go! Sakura! Where are you? Sakura!"
Sakura had never ran that fast before. She sprinted to the infirmary and spotted Levi.
His head was bandaged and his face was a ghostly pale. She rushed to his side and hugged him. Tight. She nuzzled her face in his neck and cried. Levi reached for her cheek, wiped her tears, and looked deep into her beautiful, hazel eyes.
He leaned in and touched his lips to hers.
