As Levi walked to Sakura's dorm, he tried to think of what he was going to say to her.
Hey Sakura, sorry for being a rude moron.
"Tch", he thought. "I'm bad at apologies."
Before he knew it, Levi was already at Sakura's door.
"Is she even still awake?", he thought.
Deciding it was too late to turn back, Levi finally knocked.
"State your name and business.", demanded Sakura from behind the door.
"S-Sakura? It's Levi...", he managed.
After a few awkward seconds of silence, Sakura finally opened the door. She was wearing a navy blue tank top and white pajama shorts. Her short hair was a mess of curly strands and she was wearing round, horn-rimmed glasses.
Seeing her like this, Levi was reminded by just how beautiful she was. He was dying to reach out his hand and tuck a loose strand of her curly hair behind her ear.
"I d-didn't notice you wear glasses...", said Levi, staring into her eyes.
"I only wear them when I'm reading.", answered Sakura curtly. "What can I do for you Corporal?"
"Oh um...", answered Levi nervously. "May I come in?"
Sakura moved aside and motioned for Levi to come in. Upon entering, Levi was greeted by Sakura's scent. The whole room smelled like her. The smell reminded him of a fresh, cool breeze carrying with it the smell of apple trees in the Spring.
"Corporal, is something wrong?", asked Sakura.
"J-Just call me Levi", he replied. "And yes, something is terribly wrong. Two days ago, you defeated me in hand-to-hand combat fair and square. It was disrespectful of me to slap your hand away like that. It's just... I've never been defeated by anybody so I was a bit surprised. So... um... what I'm trying to say is that... I'm s-sorry."
Sakura's usually neutral expression softened for a few moments.
"Of course I accept your apology, Levi.", replied Sakura. Her face returned to normal as suddenly as it had changed. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm a bit busy studying the formation that we will be using in tomorrow's expedition outside the walls. Besides, you need to rest as well. Big day tomorrow."
"O-Oh, right. Well, I... I guess I'll be on my way then. I'll see you tomorrow, Sakura.", said Levi.
"Right.", said Sakura as she shut the door. "See you tomorrow."
