*couple days later*

    "mmhm" I say unenthusiastically as Casey runs her mouth. I stir my cup of coffee and avoid eye contact with her. I barely pay attention to what she's even saying and in all honestly? I'm thinking about (Y/n), wondering if she's okay. I haven't seen her or Armin or even Mikasa in what feels forever. It's cause of Casey, it's all cause of her. Her voice seems to far now, and the voices of the other people at the cafe surround me. 

    "Hey! earth to boyfriend?" I hear her say as she snaps her fingers in front of my face. "Are you okay?" I look up and see she seems actually concerned but then her facial expression changed to hatred. " Or are you thinking of those rats you call 'friends'? I'll talk to them if they're bothering you, honey." 

    "No! I was just uh, tired from last night" I lied, trying to protect my friends. 

    "hm, okay. You deleted their contacts right? and you haven't been texting them?" I nod yes. "I want proof, gimme your phone sweetie" she says as she puts her hand out. I sigh and give her my phone unlocked and all. She checks and smiles, giving me back my phone. "Good boy. You honestly are the best boyfriend out there," she smiles and reaches to touch my hand. I flinch slightly at her touch. She's crazy, but if me going through this torture protects my friends then I'll go with it. 

I can't let (y/n) down...
