Today is Valentine’s Day and I can’t wait to give Lucas, my perfect boyfriend, his gift early. Since he had already given me a bouquet of red roses, I had gotten him a Jurassic Park t-shirt since that was his favorite movie and a CD of Fall Out Boy. On the way to his locker, I spotted him and Morgan, the school’s Queen Bee, kissing each other. I dropped the items and started to slowly back away without being noticed, then he pulled away from the kiss looking surprised and guilty. Morgan turned around and smirked at me and I turned around running away with tears in my eyes.
Lucas pushed Morgan off and said, “Rose wait! This isn’t what it looks like!”I stopped and turned around with tears still free falling down my face and spitted out, “No, it is exactly what it looks like! You and Morgan kissing each other! Do you even know what she does to people? She destroys their life! Was whatever we had between us fake? Nevermind, it doesn’t matter because we are done!”
“Rose please hear me out!,” he pleaded.
“No Lucas, this is good-bye,” I choked out. Then I walked away wrapping my arms around myself. For the next few days, we didn’t talk to each other. One night, I even cried my eyes out with the help of Sophie’s wise words and gallons of chocolate chip ice cream while watching Vampire Diaries. After a few weeks, Lucas didn’t return to school and I never heard from him again.
