Sam's POV

After a while of looking at the sunrise, we all decided to head home. Considering we've been out for almost twenty four hours. Colby invited me to his house before I went to mine. I guess he just wants someone to be there for him after everything that happened.

We all entered Elton's car and just enjoyed each other's presence. Elton decided to put on some music and soon we were all singing along to the radio.

We finally arrived to the city but we didn't want the fun to end so we told Elton to drive around town.

It had barely came into my mind that we're pretty crazy considering Elton turned up the volume when Jake put Barbie Girl on the speakers. I could literally feel the song going through my body because of how loud it is.

Elton lowered down all the windows and soon we were singing Barbie Girl at the top of our lungs as we passed by one of the busy streets. It was still around five forty in the morning and here we are, blasting music to the point where we can't even hear ourselves think.

We soon saw our neighborhood and Elton quickly lowered the volume. I was glad because if my mom woke up to this, knowing I was sort of a part of it, she would've came running out trying to pull me out of the car.

We soon reached the intersection where we met up. I told Elton to drop me and Colby off in front of Colby's house that way my mom won't see us walking by.

He took us there and we said bye to him and Devyn. After we got off, Colby started shaking a bit so I just held his hand and he led me to his front door. When we walked inside, it was like walking into a cooler. The whole place was cold and dark. Colby quickly went and turned on the kitchen and living room light. He then turned on the heater and got some snacks.

I followed him to his room and sat down at his bed. He put on some movies for us to watch. There were all horror. "Colby...". "Come on Sam...I'll be here to hold you when you start becoming a scaredy cat". I glared at him but still scooted closer to him.

~da time skip~

Oh god. I was scared out my mind. I couldn't watch anymore unless Colby wanted his arm to break. "Geez Sam...does this scare you that bad?", he said with a smirk. I lightly punched him and checked the time. It was about eleven thirty in the morning. I would have to get home soon before my mom flipped.

"Hey...um I'll have to leave soon and check in with my mom...I'll explain to her what happened and she'll understand when I ask her if I can come back here", I explained softly. "Okay...please come back soon". "I will". Colby hugged me and we stayed like that until I had to leave.

I kissed Colby goodbye and made my way to my house. It was about five minutes before twelve so I should be good. I grabbed my key and unlocked the front door. As soon as I enter, I see my mom on the couch holding a coffee mug. "Why hello Sam". "Hey mom". She looked at me but with sad but disappointed eyes. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?", she asked. "What do you mean?". "I saw on the news about Colby's parents...poor kid must be sad...call him. Tell him to pack his things and he can live here for a bit."

"Okay! I'll go get him right now!", I said before I ran out the door. I quickly made my way over and walked inside. "Sam...?". "Yeah it's me! Mom says you can stay with us for a bit! Come on! I'll help you pack your things!", I said as I made my way over to his room.

I saw him and he had a small smile. He got his backpack and two gym bags since he didn't have a suitcase. I helped him organize and gather all of his essentials and soon we were heading back to my house.

I opened the door and we walked in. As soon as we did, my mom came running towards us and hugged Colby. "Oh Colby...I heard what happened...you can stay here for as long as you want!", she said as she was suffocating Colby. "Th-thank y-you..", Colby breathed out. Mom let him go and went to the kitchen. "Boys! I made some cookies!". Me and Colby looked at each other and grinned before we ran to the kitchen.
