I think that I am almost a third of the way to Oatmeal! Of course, I don’t really know since I’m still in the middle of the never ending sea of wheat, but if I am, that would mean I am on track! I've been staying in barns again, since there have been more abandoned ones. I passed through a very small town a few days ago, and bought a newspaper, but I had to leave before I found out what town it was. While I was getting in line to buy the newspaper, I passed one of the big missing children signs with all the pictures of kids that would probably never be found. I just happened to see one that looked very fresh. I looked at it and found myself staring straight into my own eyes. I jumped. How could they have gotten signs up so fast? I didn’t even think they would put any up, but it could be more for their reputation then for me. They wouldn’t want to wait too long or they could be suspected of child neglect.

I hid my face as I paid for the newspaper. Now, I have been trying to keep out of sight of everyone, including the cows and sheep. I hope that no one in Oatmeal has looked at the ad, or else I might be taken back.
