Last night when I was trick-or-treating, a woman in her 30s handed me a card. The car was a pale yellow and quite ugly. When she handed it to me she said, "I think you need this, I hope you find it helpful."

It was too dark to read the card, so I waited until this morning. Here is the card:

Oatmeal Church for the Homeless

Some people need some oatmeal

Services start at 7:00, and breakfast is served at 8:15 after the service. We hope you can come and join our community.

The card took me by surprise. Did I really look that bad? Did she see the article? If she did, why didn’t she report me? What if this wasn’t real and she just wanted me to go straight to the police and they would be waiting there for me? Maybe she was giving them out to everyone and she just coincidently caught me without knowing. Maybe she was sincere about it. Maybe, but you can never trust someone you don’t know.

Again I am rambling on about things. Why am I even writing in the journal anyway? I guess it’s just to keep me company. My rambling is really getting on my nerves so I better sleep now, hopefully I won’t ramble so much tomorrow.
