AFTER HE HAD POSSIBLY RUINED ANY FRIENDSHIP WITH THE GIRL, he couldn't stop thinking about her and why she was so mysterious. Yes, he had been doing that before but it was all he could do. He had expected her to retaliate or never come near him again after he essentially threatened her by choking her. He thought it was necessary--warranted since she could had been an enemy. He was still in his room as he thought about her and he soon walked back to his art room.

Once he arrived at his special room, he had taken a seat by an unfinished canvas. The unfinished canvas from the day before was still there, only showing an abstract version of what she truly looked like. He scowled at it and picked up one of his many paint brushes to resume it. Well, to try to resume it.

After about an hour of painting it again, he only managed to paint the background. This new background consisted of a clear pond and grass behind her, green as her emerald orbs.

"It's good" her voice rang throughout the room and the hybrid sighed in response. He rolled his eyes and added a few more strokes to add on even more.

"Obviously, it's my art, love"

"And there's that narcissism, but I guess I agree" she replies as she walks forward to get a better look. She now stands directly behind him, overlooking his shoulder.

"Well?"

"It has great detail except for the the face, of course. The environment behind her is great fully detailed with quite provoking colors that bring it all out. Then, without her face, it can give a sense of simplicity" she goes on to elaborate her thoughts. Her entire explanation impresses while slightly confuses him. She seemed like an expert in art, which was unexpected. He smirked at her, well, her evaluation.

"Hmm", he hummed with a smirk before continuing, "You seemed to see the meaning behind it, easily. You seem like an expert"

"Why, thank you" she replies with a smile.

"How about we put it to the test then?"

"What?" She asks with a chuckle.

"I'm testing your skill. You are going to paint me something, anything"

"Why should I? You should be the one painting for me!" She laughs, incredulously. "You practically threatened me, yesterday"

"I had to see if you were an enemy"

"That's...some bullshit"

"If you paint me one thing, just one...I'll try to not have harm brought to you. You will not be considered an enemy" he offers with a slight raise of his eyebrows and a playful smirk.

She ponders on it for a moment. Even though he was at fault, she had to make up for it, in a way. She knew she could easily paint something in return but her better judgement was taking over her thoughts. It was his fault, entirely, yet she expected it from the hybrid. She sighed and decided to speak. "Fine, one painting. One painting from me & we aren't enemies"

"Agreed" he replied and got up from his seat, allowing her to take it. He replaced his colorful canvas with a blank one. She picked up a paintbrush and lightly pushed it into one of the paint's spots on the palette and began her work.

She began with small strokes in various parts of the canvas, starting with small details at first. Buildings, clouds, & even an Eiffel tower was her first priority in the painting. The sky above it, was a light blue that screamed 'calm' and the wisps of clouds were somewhat see through. Then, she began to paint someone. She started with an outline of a male, one with a tall stature and a slightly larger frame than most. His hair was painted a semi-dark blonde with tints of lightness in it. His skin was fair and his eyes were a deep sea blue. Once she wa ls putting the final touches, she had picked up a smaller brush. She narrowed the brush into the area of the upper left corner to put his name: 'Niklaus Mikaelson'. He looked over the painting and smirked at it.

"Impressive, love"

"Well, obviously, love" she mocks as she stands up to smirk right back at him. He chuckles in return and walks over to another section of the room and grabs another canvas.

"How about a friendly contest?"

"Gladly" she responds as he sits on the seat and quickly smiles before starting yet another painting.

|AUTHORS NOTE|
I literally said their relationship wouldn't be sunshine and rainbows yet here they are being chums. I kind of wanted them to spend time together and sort of bond. Hopefully, it's moving too fast for story's sake. Actually, this was pretty much shorter than I thought it would be. Anyways, hope y'all enjoyed for some reason & hope y'all are having a great day/night.
