"Land of the dead, here we go." (Y/N) says, clapping her hands to ignore his previous statement.

"(Y/N)."

She doesn't answer, going down the steps and shining her flashlight around the catacombs. She climbs a ledge, Nate trailing behind as he says her name once again.

"What?" She replies.

"I want to talk to you, but you won't listen to me." He says as they come to a large hole with a black abyss, the sound of a rushing waterfall soothing the nerves.

"Oh that's good, now you know how I feel." (Y/N) states, smiling as she drops off the ledge, shuffling her way along.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" He asks, following once she jumps the gap.

"Meaning lately, specifically just now in the library, I was ignored." She explains, making her way around. She hoists herself up with Nate close behind. "Are we seriously having this conversation right now?" She adds.

"Yes, we are because this is possibly the only time we'll get to have it right now." He replies as they head up the stone stairs, a mini waterfall running into another one beside them.

"Well, maybe I don't want to -" (Y/N)'s cut off by a red light shining on her chest and Nate is quick to push her behind a box as a shot rings out.

"Look, I just think you're overreacting." He says, shooting a bullet through a guy's head as he shrugs.

"We'll talk later." She states, gritting her teeth.

After taking out the patrol, Nate turns the crank in order to lift the gate up.  "Well, it's later." He hums and she turns to him.  "Nathan Drake, will you shut your mouth." She orders.

Nate smirks at her, the gate fully opening and they make their way up, pushing the stone floor that was used to cover above them. He grabs (Y/N)'s hand and she steps up, gently laying it back down behind her and facing the church.

After a small fight, Nate runs down to the end, opening up his notebook along the way. "I don't get it." He mutters, not looking up.

"What? Francis Drake made it hard for you?" (Y/N) teases, looking over his shoulder.

"No, I don't get why you're being so off. If I ignored you, I never meant it." He states and she takes a step back, clearly shocked by his comment.

He takes the chance to shoot the bells at either sides revealing a hidden door and then faces her again. She raises an eyebrow, gesturing with her hands and then shrugs. ''I just don't know.'' She breathes.

Nate doesn't push it, instead indicating for her to go through. (Y/N) takes the lead and he helps her take out the mercenaries and pulls themselves up broken ledges, continuing on. They make their way up to different platforms and Nate pulls (Y/N) up into a small area.

"This is completely unacceptable." A voice drifts towards them, clearly Roman's and Nate looks around for it.

"What do you expect from me, Roman?" Eddy asks. "My men are getting massacred."

Above them was a drain cover and (Y/N) taps Nate on the chest, pointing upwards to indicate it was coming from there.

"I find it hard to believe that one man and woman could wipe out your entire crew." Roman states.

"It's not just Drake and the girl, goddamnit!" Eddy cries and (Y/N) raises her eyebrow at 'the girl'. "I'm telling you, this island is cursed."

"Enough!" Roman silences him. "Take your sorry mob and go." He orders, his voice calm and calculating.

"Wait..." Eddy says, dragging out the a. "You can't cut me loose. You owe me a share of the gold!" He yells, frustrated.

"Your share, Eddy, was contingent upon you doing what I required. You assured me that Drake and the brat was captured and the island secured." Roman states.

(Y/N) crosses her arms at his choice of words and Nate shrugs as if in agreement, making her punch his arm.

"Oh this is bullshit, Roman, and you know it!" Eddy screams but a gun clicks.

"We're done here, Mr.Raja." Roman dismisses. A cigar is flicked through the hole and Nate brushes it away from his face, not wanting to get burnt.

Eddy swears in Indonesian, his voice quietening as he moves away.

"Remind me again why you employed that superstitious idiot?" Roman asks another figure in the room.

"You wanted someone cheap." Navarro replies and Roman scoffs. "Well, you get what you pay for, I suppose." There's a pause. "And what about you Navarro, are you worth what I'm paying you?"

"The vault's here. I'm sure of it! If Sullivan can be trusted -"

"Which he can't."

"Look, he knows we'll kill him if he's lying."

"Don't be stupid. He knows we'll kill him once we find the treasure."

Roman speaks over him. "He has no incentive to tell the truth. Really, Navarro, sometimes I think you left your brains back in that slum where I found you."

"I just need a little more time." Navarro says.

"Chasing this treasure of yours is proving to be more trouble than it's possibly worth." Roman sighs and Navarro scoffs. "I assure you, El Dorado is worth more than you can possibly imagine."

"It had better be." Roman replies, his voice cold as their conversation ends.

Nate looks at (Y/N) and she points to the archway, walking through it and then jumping to the gap and descending the stairs.

"He called me a brat, the asshole." (Y/N) grumbles, climbing more stairs as they come across a gate.

"Well, you can be... sometimes." Nate strains as he pulls the crank, lifting the gate, letting her walk under and he rolls, it crashing down behind.

"Shut up." She hums and they come outside into a clearing.  "I'm just saying." He mutters.

"Well don't say."
