"Shit!" Cheshire cursed as a guard spotted her. He touched his ear piece and spoke into it quietly.
"I've got her. North West balcony, my nine o'clock." It was mearly a whisper, but she was able to hear it with her hyped up senses.
Cheshire loved chases. Play Pencil Full Of Lead by Paolo Nutini.
Cheshire whirled round and began decending the stairs. For a regular person, trotting down a flight of stairs in five inch heals and an elegant ball gown would have been extreamly difficult. But Cheshire was good. Her gown was a saturn, royal blue, halter nech top that hugged her figure tightly until her knees, where it fanned out and held a short train. Her hair was as it always was. Pitch black and poker straight and hung over her shoulders, stopping at her waist. The only thing that was fake on her body, were her contact lenses. Instead of her usual electric blue, her eyes were disguised as a deep choclate, otherwise she woud have been spotted sooner.
When she got to the bottom of the stairs, Cheshire briskly walked to a door that she knew was the nearest exit. Once through the door, she socked an armed guard in the mouth and teleported down the hall way to the end. She then entered the code and slid the security card that she swiped earlier to open the exit. As the door slammed shut, the music in her head came to an abrupt stop.
"Tony, I got seen. But I got the information. Pick me up?" She said into her own ear piece.
"Honey, I'll be there in literally two seconds. And don't worry about it." True to his word, Tony Stark pulled up in a red porche right on the curd. Cheshire opened the door to the immaculatly pollished car and slid in. Just as they were pulling away, the exit to the galla opened and three guards burst out. Cheshire flashed her famous grin at them, just before Tony sped off.
"Thanks, and by the way, seducing a rich guy is so easy." Tony kept his eyes on the road but raised an eyebrow at her. "He was all over me as soon as I was over there." She slid her shoes of her aching feet, rubbing them slightly after she clicked her seat belt into its place.
"Is that how you got me?" He asked smirking.
"No, thats how Pepper got you." Cheshire made a 'are you stupid?' face but his chuckle faded out and he just starred straight ahead. "Sorry, forgot that she was a touchy subject." She grimiced at the thought of the punishment she would recieve any second now.
"No, no, it's ok." Wait, what? Did Tony Stark just brush of my highly offensive comment? Cheshire was surprised but recovered quickly. Cheshire had no other topic to change the conversation to, so she decided on the weather.
"It's a nice night, isn't it?" Cheshire looked at Tony but decided against waiting for an answer. "Or is it? I mean, is it a nice evening? Or is it even the evening? It could be anytime of the day, but we gave it the name 'evening' because it suited it. Whatever time of day it is, is it nice? Has it been nice? Will it be nice? Will it not? How could we know the difference between 'nice' and not? To me and you it's pleasurable but to someone else, it not. But how could we ever know?" Cheshire's rambeling English accent calmed Tony. It may be ridiculous, but Chershire's continuous talking seemed to put Tony at ease and reminded him of home.
"Your crazy, Chesh." Tony smiled, still focused on the road. Cheshire let go of her illusions and her ears and tail returned. Large electric blue and grey ears sat perched on the top of her head, twitching ever so often. A long, skinny tail kinked and curled around Cheshire's body in an unusual manner and rested on the car seat with her.
"That's where your wrong, Anthony. I'm not crazy, I'm mad." Cheshire pointed an accusing finger at her best friend and grinned widely.
"And all the best people are." Tony finished.
Author's note.
Kind of a short chapter, but here's the beginning. Going to make this story free to the public's suggestions, so if you have any ideas on what you want to happen, feel free to tell me and I'll give you credit. And Cheshires dress is the one above/on the side but in a royal blue. All the best,
Amy. X
