Audrey's P.O.V.

A couple weeks had passed and I still hadn't heard from Messiah. You would think with as much history as we had and how excited he was in the beginning about my pregnancy, he would have at least responded to the ultrasound picture. It was all good though because life was so refreshing for me right now. Looking back, I thanked God he closed that door and I was looking forward to starting a new chapter with a man who absolutely adored me.                                                         Today was the big day; graduation. I was so excited. I was looking fierce in an all-white vintage, Gucci dress with white and gold strap heels to match. My accessories consisted of some diamond stud earrings and a tennis bracelet I received from my parents.                                                            My hair was curly and flowed down my back. I don't wear makeup, so I just added some MAC lip-gloss and my look was complete. I took one last look in the mirror, blew myself a kiss, and left the bathroom. I noticed Dean standing in the doorway admiring me.                                                     "Damn Ma' you look amazing!"                                                                                                                                       "You don't look too bad yourself boss man." He was rocking a brown Prada collared shirt, some distressed jeans and a pair of Prada studded camo print sneakers on his feet. His dress code stayed on point! He walked up to me and turned me around to face the mirror again. He placed a diamond necklace with an iced out key charm around my neck.                                                              "This me right here? I asked with a look of surprise. "You know I love gifts, but you didn't have to get me nothing, babe!"                                                                                                                                                   "So you gonna tell me how to spend my money on you?" he asked with raised brows. "Do you like it?"                                                                                                                                                                                         "Yes baby, I love it and I love you!"                                                                                                                                 "The key is to symbolize that only you hold the key to my heart," he said and placed soft kisses on my neck and shoulder.

                                                                                          ***

Graduation was a blur. I was in a daze during the entire ceremony. When they called Jai's name, the crowd went wild. Jai was really popular. She did everything from the debate team to cheerleading. I was popular as well, but I was the shy type. Track was my thing. Running was my life until I got pregnant.                                                                                                                                                                   My name was called to accept my diploma and I zoned out. It was quick on stage and I just keep repeating over and over in my head, don't fall. I was on cloud nine riding on a natural high! I'd learned some hard life lessons in these past couple of weeks, but nothing could compare to the sense of feeling accomplished. Old doors were closing and friends I'd had since elementary were now setting off in different directions of life. This was finally it, the end to a new beginning. After the ceremony, we all headed back to Ant's house for a big seafood party. We had the works, blue crabs, snow crabs, shrimp, lobster, conch fritters, and bay scallops; I was in seafood heaven. My mother and Tosh did their thing in the kitchen.                                                                                                             Jai was the last person to show up and you could tell she was not feeling the scene. After she got a couple drinks in her system, she was good to go. I kept a close watch on her because only God knows if she would be able to be in the same room as Anthony and keep her feelings in check.                                                                                                                                                                                                       As the party began to settle down, Nick informed us all of the Puerto Rico trip. He advised us that he would be gone for the summer, but he was flying us all out for a two0week getaway.                   Two weeks of fun in the sun and relaxation with my man. The whole crew was going; everyone except my parents. They were staying back to watch the twins. Nick was sending them to Europe when we got back. He was always sending them somewhere. He went by the motto 'family is everything' and he let everybody eat. I guess if you had it, flaunt it! He wasn't no flashy nigga, but if you close to him, he tried to give you the world and everything in it.
