"Good morning." Reeyenna said to her mother, as she walked into the kitchen. It was finally Saturday. School had just started about two months ago and Reeyenna was happy for a weekend off.

She started her day by walking her dog Jace. Reeyenna walked all the way to the park near her house. The park is a very descent place to relax and let dogs roam free, except for one thing, which most dogs that go to the park are either on leashes or listen very well to their masters. But around the park are deep, dark woods. There is a hiking trail that leads to the other side of the woods and many people walk that trail, but Reeyenna was never too excited about it.

Today she just wanted to relax for a bit at the park before going back home, but Jace had a different idea. Instead Jace decided to slip his collar and run down the hiking trail. Of course Reeyenna ran after him, but she lost his trail. He was too fast for her to keep up with and he had wondered into the woods. Jace didn't stay on the trail like Reeyenna had wished he would.

"Jace!" Reeyenna screamed, calling for her dog. As she went further into the woods the more lost she became. Then Reeyenna saw Jace! She ran towards him as fast as she could, but the closer she got the slower she ran until she came to a stop. Reeyenna froze, not knowing whether to run back or to stay put. Right in front of her was a wolf. She tried to step back, getting ready to run when... "SNAP!"

Reeyenna had stepped on a small twig and the wolf heard it. It charged at her and she ran as fast as she could, but then tripped over a tree root and the wolf got her. Reeyenna screamed so loud, as loud as she could, but no one could hear her scream. Well, one man did. He ran over as fast as he could, but when he got to her she was nearly dead, but not yet. This unknown man saved her, but left in a real hurry once he did.

When Reeyenna woke up she was completely healed! There were no scratches, bite marks, or anything from the wolf. She was very discombobulated. The next thing she noticed was a piece of paper right next to her and it said,

"I'm sorry I left in such a hurry, but I had to leave. I bet you're wondering how you're still alive and with no scratches or anything. Well, the thing is I'm a vampire, which is nothing to be scared of. I gave you a very diminutive amount of my blood to heal you, but there are some consequences of doing that. It turned you into a vampire like me. You don't have to worry, you can still walk in the sun, but you do need to feed on blood to survive. I'm so sorry this had to happen, but I hope you can forgive me and live your life to the fullest. ~R"

Reeyenna had no idea what to think of what she had just read. The only thing that kept crossing her mind was who was the boy who had saved her and what would her family think of what she is now.
