"Good morning daddy," Destiny chirps as she enters the kitchen, a bright smile spread on her face.

I turn around and flash a smile back. "Hey darling. Want some breakfast?"

Destiny nods abruptly before running over to the dining table and sitting on her spot, ready for breakfast to be handed over to her. I chuckle at her as I hand her the plate full of berries. Her favourite.

"This.. is... delicious!!" Destiny excitedly exclaims through each bite. I softly laugh and kiss the top of her head before making my way back into the kitchen to clean up. I know I have maids to do this, and chefs to cook the meals, but sometimes I like doing these things. It makes me feel normal.

"What would you like to do today?" I ask my daughter as I sit beside her. "It's Saturday, that means we have a whole day ahead of us."

Destiny's eyes light up as an idea pops into her head.

I chuckle at her facial expression but before I get the chance to ask what her idea is, she stands up on her chair and screams at the top of her lungs.

It's nice having a daughter while being a man.

Ha.

Sarcasm.

Just kidding, Destiny is the most precious thing I have, and I'm grateful for her.

Grateful for the little ball of terror.

"THE WATER PARK, CAN WE PLEASE GO TO THE WATER PARK?"

I laugh over her screams and nod my head, unable to speak from laughing too much. When Destiny sees my answer she screams even louder, and I soon have to rush over to her and quieten her down before the neighbours think I've murdered someone.

"Destiny," I laugh, grabbing her hands into mine and slowly helping her off of the chair so she doesn't get hurt. "Stop screaming. Everyone's going to think you've been killed, and then I'll get blamed for it and put in jail."

There's a pause before I say, "and we won't be able to go to the water park!"

Destiny softly giggles before giving me a hug. "Sorry dad, I won't do it again. But thank you, thank you thank you thank you."

I smile to myself as she slips off into the living room to watch an hour of tv. She's been wanting to go to the water park for ages now, but something always came up.

As I'm about to walk into the kitchen to pack a day bag, I hear Destiny quietly calling me.

"Yes Des?" I shout over my shoulder as I grab some things from the fridge.
"C-can Ariana come too?"

I pause at this, sighing. Should I invite Ariana, or will it be too weird?

"Dad?"

I let out a quiet sigh before I grab the house phone and walk over to Des. "Here," I say, handing her the phone. "Call her and ask her."

Des lifts her head up to look at me, a small smile slowly spreading across her face. She snatches the phone from me and dials the phone number Ariana gave her two days ago, the last time we saw her. The time when she had a breakdown, but stopped crying immediately when she heard Destiny's voice. They briefly played together before we all had to leave, Ariana going home and us going to a restaurant for my mum's birthday, but Ariana didn't leave without handing Des her phone number and told her to call if she ever wanted to talk to her. Destiny was ecstatic.

I snap out of my daydream as my daughter comes skipping into the kitchen. I give her a questioning look before her eyes glisten with happiness and her smile is the biggest I've ever seen.
