"Daddy!"

I turn my head to the voice and smile at my daughter as she runs through the front door, Scooter close behind. As my manager, Scooter, shuts the door, I get up off of the couch and make my way towards Destiny.

"Hi my baby girl," I laugh, wrapping my arms around my tiny daughter. She giggles into my ear as my fingers quickly let go of her and make their way toward her hand.

"How was your first day of school?" I smile at her as we walk towards the living room hand in hand.

"Oh Dad, it was amazing! I had so much fun, and I learnt a lot. I even made a lot of friends!" Destiny giggles.

I'm so engulfed in my daughter's happiness that I totally forget that her mother is sitting a few metres away from her, eagerly waiting for the introduction.

"Hi," Ariana shyly whispers, but a grin is spread from ear to ear.
Destiny stops talking as soon as Ari speaks and stops dead in her tracks to inspect the newest arrival.

"Daddy, who's this? I've never seen her before," Destiny whispers as she slowly makes her way closer to Ariana. "She looks familiar though."

I fidget in my spot, mumbling in my mind over and over what I should reply but just as I'm about to, Des runs over to Ari and gives her a big hug.

"Well, whoever she is, she's pretty. Let me take a closer look at you." Destiny smiles. As she leans in, her emerald green eyes taking in every glimpse of Ariana, I watch as I desperately hold my breath scared that if I even breathe I will ruin this moment.

"Wow, you have the same hair as me!" Des laughs as she runs her hand through Ari's gorgeous, long, golden hair. She pauses for a second, briefly studying Ariana. It's as if a lightbulb turns on in her head as she exclaims, "I know why you look familiar, you're Ariana Grande!"

Ariana swiftly nods her head happily and Destiny is about to say something more when I quickly step in. I walk towards them. "Des, stop. You don't stick your hand in people's hair."

Destiny immediately drops her hand and looks down at the ground. "Sorry."

"Hey hey, no I liked it."

Destiny glances to the voice and grins brightly as her eyes look at Ariana. "Really?"

Ari flashes her a soft smile and holds her hands out to my child. "Really."

Des gladly takes them and gets pulled into Ariana's arms, and I smile at them both, at Destiny's happiness and at Ari's big smile spread across her face.

I let them hug and talk about toys for 2 minutes, until I sigh and snap out of my daydream. "Alright Des, it's 6pm. You need to take a bath and get changed for the restaurant for grandma's birthday."

Destiny hangs her head sadly and starts to walk away. "Okay."

"Wait! No, I want to help!" Ariana turns to me. "May I?"

I raise an eyebrow at her but say nothing. My eyes turn to my daughter and I give her a questionable look.

Without hesitation, Destiny's screams echo throughout the whole house as she excitedly runs back to Ariana. "Yes yes yes yes!!"

"There you go, you look like a real princess."

I stop in my tracks when I hear my daughter and Ariana talking through the open door of my daughter's room. The wall outside Destiny's room is hiding me enough to not be seen as I intently listen on their conversation.

"Really?" Destiny's voice is quiet, almost a whisper, but I can hear the emotion in her voice as Ariana calls her beautiful.

"You're the most beautiful girl in the world." I can hear the genuine smile in Ariana's voice, and can't help but smile. I expected Ariana to be a complete bitch since she left her boyfriend alone with her child, but I think she really regrets not being in Destiny's life.

"Wow Ariana, thank you so much. You are the sweetest, I love you. I wish you were my mummy." I can hear the sadness in Destiny's voice, clearly saddened by the fact that she grew up without a mother. Ariana can hear it too, because she sadly whispers back, "I wish that too." I soon hear her excusing herself with her voice filled with pain and hurries off to the bathroom, me following behind her.

"Ari? Can I come in?" I ask as I quietly knock on the neatly white painted door.

She doesn't answer but I hear her soft cries and that's enough for me to open the door.

I see her sprawled on the bathroom floor, her head in her hands.

"A-Ari?" I whisper. I slowly move closer to her and don't hesitate to fall down beside her and wrap my arms around her. I pull her closer to my chest and her whimpers die down as she snuggles into me. "I'm a horrible person."

"What? No you're not," I scold her.

"Yes, yes I am. I left my daughter to grow up without a mother, I let Ricky take me. I let him ruin my life for 6 whole years. It's all my fault, and I ruined a girl just because of it. Ricky fucking abducted me, keeping me hostage for years, and I didn't do anything. Sure, I fought, but I stopped after a while of his threats. I could've continued to fight, and at least I would be dead and have a reason to be dead. I would've fought for her, for Destiny, and if I would've died in the process then too bad. I should've never stopped fighting."

And that's when Ariana burst into uncontrollable tears.

My heart ached at the sight of her, at the once strong and famous Ariana Grande to the now broken girl. A girl that was once happy, that once spread love and positivity and did nothing but sing her songs on tour to her fans.

Holding people against their force is kidnap, which is illegal. Ricky deserves to be in prison, and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

I'll do everything I can to fix this broken girl, otherwise known as Ariana Grande.
