You're All That Matters

Chapter 14

*Becca's POV.*

The next morning I wake up and can't breathe. My nose is stopped up from all of the crying. And I tear up again at the though of her being gone.

Once I am fully awake I notice tight arms around me. I turn around and Cameron is still asleep, and I kiss him lightly to wake him up. He shoots his eyes open then smiles.

"Good morning, my love." He says, then kissing my nose.

"Not such a good morning.." I say, and lay my head on his chest.

"This will get better, I promise." He says and rests his hand on my cheek.

"But what if it doesn't." I choke out.

"Trust me. I know things will. I will do anything to make this better." He whispers the last part.

"Okay." Is all I can say.

•3 hours later, at aunt Michelle's•

*Cameron's POV.*

We pull up to Becca's Aunts house and Becca is holding my hand tightly.

"Ready?" I ask her and she nods.

I get out of the car and run over to open her door.

"Thanks." She says with a weak smile.

I rest my hand over her shoulder and she rests her head on my chest.

Once we reach the doorstep, I knock on the door and a very nice lady opens the door and looks just like Lila. I smile at her and she gives a weak smile.

"I'm Cameron," I say reaching out my hand.

"Becca's boyfriend." I finish and release her hand.

"It's very nice to meet you, I'm Michelle, but most people call me shell, which you may call me that." She speaks and smiles a little more and I do the same.

"Hi aunt shell." Becca says letting go of me and hugs her aunt.

"Hi, sweety." She replies and holds her tight.

"Come in, you two, we need to talk." She says and uses a hand gesture signaling us to walk into the home.

We take a seat on the couch and sighs.

"Your mother told me to get you and Josh an apartment, right?" She asks and Becca slowly nods.

"Well the only one that I can afford right now is in South California. So you two would have to move." She says and I feel a knife in my chest when she says Becca has to move, far away.

"Oh." She says blankly.

"She and Josh can stay with me, my mom bought me a house about 4 doors down and no one really uses it. They can, my mom wouldn't mind at all and I could help take care of both of them." I blurt out. There's no way I'm letting go of Becca. Not this easily.

"O-okay.. But I'll have to talk to your mother to be sure it's okay. May I have her number?" Shell asks me and I give it to her with hope overfilling me. once I giver my moms number she walks into the kitchen to talk to her.

"I want to stay with you Cameron." Becca says randomly.

"Mots most likely you will." I say looking into her eyes.

"No I mean with you, in your house, I want to fall asleep next you every night, comforting me, and every morning wake up with you by my side. I don't want to be alone." She says and her eyes read desperation.

"I'll stay there with you." I say and she kisses my lips very quick so that it doesn't get heated.

Shell comes back in and looks happy.

"Becca you can move into Cameron's house. Cameron, you need to take good care of Rebecca." She says turning to me.

"Of course I will. I never have and never will have second thoughts on taking care if her." I say referring to Becca.

"Thank you." She says standing up and I do the same. Shell hugs me and whispers.

"I know that Becca trusts you and I believe you can take her into good care."

I smile as I pull away and let Becca and her share their goodbyes.

•back at Becca's house, getting packed•

I run downstairs grabbing a few more boxes and heading back up to Becca's room.

"Okay. I love you too, bye." She says getting off the phone with whom I'm assuming is Josh.

"Josh is going to stay at my grandparents house for a week or so. He said not to worry about his things and that he'll get them once he's finished staying there." She fills me in while putting a bunch of things into boxes.

"Okay, so the house is ours for a week." I say and she smiles, but I can tell it's a real smile, not one that makes her force it.

"I love you." I say out of the blue. Becca walks over to me and puts her arms around my neck and I wrap mine around the middle of her back.

"I love you, too, Cam." She says leaning in. I kiss her softly at first but then I realize that this kiss is different. Very different.

I feel my stomach tie in uncountable knots and butterflies making me smile, but not breaking the kiss. I feel like this whole time I've been falling, waiting to hit the ground but instead, in this moment, I fall into a soothing pool of pure love. Everything in this moment right now, kissing Becca, holding her tight, and being able to say that she's mine, is me falling in love with the most amazing girl. She's the best thing that ever happened to me.

I pull away and look her in the eyes and I can tell she knows that kiss was different too.

"I think I just fell in love with a girl." I say, cupping one of her cheeks.

"I think I just fell in love with a boy." She says, smiling.

"Oh really? And what is this boy like?" I ask and smirk at her.

"He's nice, protective, a good kisser, he's hot, and lastly, he loves me. What's the girl you fell in love with like?" She says and puts her hands on the back of my neck.

"Well, her name is Rebecca Thompson. She's gorgeous, inside and out. She is kind-hearted, and cares for everyone she loves. Her laugh is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard, and she loves me too. She trusts me and I'm thankful for that. I'm also thankful out of the millions of people in the world, she chose me to love. She is perfect in every way possible. She is shy at first, but once you get to know her, she's wild and crazy. But that's just 1 of the hundreds of things I love about her. No one is going to change that, me loving her. But if we don't work out, all I can remember is that I still love her. She fills my heart with joy and it's overwhelming. Her personality is perfect. But 'perfect' is just an understatement of describing herself." I say and notice she is in tears.

"I love you Rebecca Lynn Thompson." I say her full name and she pulls me to her lips and kisses me so passionately. I love her so much and I will be her for her til the day we part.
