Percy

Kneeling behind a throne, a clothed, armored figure bowed. "The Tesseract has awakened. It is on a little world. A human world. They would wield its power,..."

He turned to face a horned shaped shadow and the latter is handed scepter, a long golden handle, fitted with a blue gem encircled with silver blades.

The armored figure continued. "But our ally knows its workings as they never will. He is ready to lead. And our force, our Chitauri, will follow."

Tens of thousands of Chitauri, ugly insect-like creatures, stood ready in a seething mass of neat rows and columns....the ground simply quaked.

"The world will be his. The universe yours. And the humans, what can they do but burn?"

I woke up with a start and a shiver, soaked in sweat, my heart hammering inside my chest. The only thing coursing clearly in my brain was: What in the name of hell was that?

3rd Person P.O.V.

Out in the New Mexico desert, a remote research facility was in a state of panic. It was an evacuation. A swooping helicopter flew in.

Chaos. Men in suits ran around like in the typical 'we have to leave' fashion. Soldiers on foot jumped onto Humvees, accelerating the hell out of there.

Standing a few yards from the landing pad, agent Phil Coulson in a suit with badass shades, peered at the helicopter as it landed. Walking out of it were a fierce and determined Maria Hill with Nick Fury in tow.

"How bad is it?" called the director to Phil.

"That's the problem, sir. We don't know."

Coulson then lead Hill and Fury through the radiation section of the facility. Hundreds of technicians and other staff ran around, taking only the essentials.

"Dr. Selvig read an energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago." Informed Phil his superior, not even breaking a stride.

"NASA didn't authorize Selvig to test phase" said Nick, not showing any emotion whatsoever.

"He wasn't testing it, he wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous advancement."

"It just turned itself on" asked this time Maria.

"What are the energy levels now?" ordered Nick Fury not really asking.

"Climbing. When Selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered the evac." replied Phil.

"How long to get everyone out?" asked the director.

"Campus should be clear in the next half hour."

"Do better." Phil stopped in his tracks and began in his turn, barking out orders, leaving the other two continuously heading down to the radiation facility floor.

"Sir, evacuation may be futile." said Hill.

"We should tell them to go back to sleep?"

"If we can't control the Tesseract's energy, there may not be a minimum safe distance." countered Maria, unfazed by Fury's sarcastic comment.

"I need you to make sure that PHASE 2 prototypes are shipped out" ordered the director when they stopped in front of a stainless steel door.

Irked, but taking care of not showing it, Maria said: "Sir, is that really a priority right now?"
